I wanna clean my computer of all the useless stuff, meaning things that aren't too useful or I haven't needed in ages. At the moment I have Defraggler and CCleaner but are there any other good software that can hunt down junk that could be deleted? Avast is recommending me to subscribe for the GrimeFighter which doesn't seem too bad considering it is 50% off at the moment for 20e (would last for an year) but if there are any other programs that are either cheaper/free that do the same trick, I'd like to know of them
Don't get any other shit it's mostly made for advertising and actually slows your stuff down. CCleaner is all you need, you don't really need defraggler either, windows does it for you. You might want to give this a go though. Other than that, manually go through and uninstall software you don't use. You can use something like SpaceSniffer to see whats taking up the most space. But unless your hard drive is near full its speed wont be affected. [editline]25th December 2014[/editline] tldr; For speed, disable stuff in msconfig. For space, uninstall/delete shit manually.
^ as above Press windows key, type 'msconfig', press enter. You'd be amazed just how much crap you can untick.
Unless you have a lot of software customized to your needs, making a complete backup of all files and reinstalling Windows is also a fairly popular option.

msconfig is simpler, just disable everything but the windows services and you are golden.
Cheers, thanks for the help people.
