Michael Gilio is writing the script. Warner Bros. had no comment. Sources also added that Liman has left the Channing Tatum “Gambit” which insiders say is a mutual split between the studio and Liman. While plot details are being kept under wraps, the story revolves around a dark Justice League team that consists of John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna and Etrigan the Demon. The film is an ensemble focused which speaks to one of his early hits “Go”, which dealt with a similar ensemble. The film will play a major role in the new D.C. Cinematic Universe.
[Source: Variety]
Nice to see Constantine get a second shot at a movie appearance.
Better than fucking Snyder at least.
Aw. Guillermo was supposed to direct this. [editline]d[/editline] Apparently its still his script and he'll be producing, so thats cool.
Apparently its still his script and he'll be producing, so thats cool.
The only difference was that Del Toro was willing to cast Matt Ryan as Constantine. But hey, if we're accidentally getting Tom Cruise as Constantine then I'm not complaining :v:
The only difference was that Del Toro was willing to cast Matt Ryan as Constantine.
Ah well, that was never going to happen anyway. If they cant use the same Flash, theres no way in hell they're using the same Constantine.
Still upset they shit-canned Ryan's Constantine in the middle of the season.
I will fully trust Doug Liman.

Quite happy with Doug and since Snyder is nowhere near it, it's got way more potential.
the dcu as if thats a thing
i thought this was supposed to be an animated film? with matt ryan returning as constantine?
i thought this was supposed to be an animated film? with matt ryan returning as constantine?
I think they might be doing two different JLDark films, one of them is animated
So, if they want star power and accuracy(I can dream) for Constantine it will be one of 2 men who can pull it off Choose

Batflecks solo film will likely be fantastic, and Aquaman sounds like it'll probably be fun. Geoff Johns being involved and Snyders lowered position means theres still hope, probably not the near future, but post-Justice League projects.
I will fully trust Doug Liman.
He has a relatively short, but distinguished, list of directing credits. The movie Go in particular is underrated in my opinion. It's the best Pulp Fiction knockoff from that era when everyone seems to have tried copying Pulp Fiction.
