Good evening fellow facepunchers and happy valentines.
Anyhow, my moms birthday is in April and she is going to be 50. I'm currently 15 and I have alot of money on my account that is just being wasted on candy and video games. So I decided that it'd be alot more noble of me too save up some more money and give my mom a truly astonishing and thoughtful gift.
I'm considering saving up to some sort of trip for just me and her. She is very interested in gardening so I was thinking of buying airplane tickets to some location well known for it's gardens.
She also told me that she does not want any jewelry. So I though an experience with just me and her would be awesome.
So I kinda need tips on places I could take her or experiences I could give her.
Also if you have any idea on how to surprise her that would be awesome too. I was thinking that I could take her in a cab blindfolded. Then when we got to the airport I could take it off and yell "guess what you and me are going to (some place) happy birthday mom I love you"
I live in Sweden so traveling too far may be complicated (but not impossible)
Happy valentines facepunch!! <3
Sorry for my bad grammar I don't speak English as my native language and I'm writing on my iPhone.

no prebuilt kits. make one from scratch :)

Go to the Netherlands. It's close, and they have shitloads of tulips.
More specifically, this place: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keukenhof

Netherlands? I would like to take her to some sort of world known garden that would take hours to walk through. She would love that

Does Netherlands have any huge gardens or such? I've never been there

Keukenhof is only open 3 months a year, and April is one of them. Apparently they some big flower parade then, whatever that means.

I read about a garden in china that make art out of plants and shape it in cool ways. Allegedly it's one of the most beautiful parks in the world but I don't know if I can get that much money in such a short time
This thread makes me feel warm inside.
Keukenhof, also known as the Garden of Europe, is situated near Lisse, Netherlands, and is the world's largest flower garden. According to the official website for the Keukenhof Park, approximately 7,000,000 (seven million) flower bulbs are planted annually in the park, which covers an area of 32 hectares.
I don't think you can get any larger than the world's largest flower garden :P
32 hectares would take a good bit of time to walk round don't you think?

And Netherlands isn't too far away from Sweden. Where is Keukenhof? Is it close to any airport? I guess keukenhof is a big tourist attraction :D
Take her out to dinner.
A nice restaurant, I'm sure she'd appreciate it.

It's only 20 km away from Schiphol airport (Amsterdam) , there's probably buses that go straight to it.

Make sure you give her a hug and say Happy Birthday the moment she wakes up and leaves her room.
