• ISP sappin' ma Steam?... Or not?

So when I was on Steam like 5 hours ago, I suddenly got disconnected from Steam , so i wait a while and nothing happens so I though I'd try Steam support, but I can't access the Steam support website, as a matter of fact I can't access any websites owned by Valve which are all from the IP's: 63.228.223.100([url]www.valvesoftware.com[/url]) 65.122.178.73(support.steampowered.com) Basically all different IPs. I am being hosted by the ISP Altibox which is a Norwegian ISP(It's a good ISP not a cheap piece of shit) I can't really understand why they would block Steam, I mean It's being hosted on all these different IPs so they'd have to manually go trough and find them(why?) So what I know is that it seems to work for everyone else, Steam is blocked on all my house's computers and so I don't get what the problem is! If it was port blocking I would get it but it's obviously not so simple(I have tried without any firewall on) Not the same as [thread]958399[/thread]
Are you running software like Peerguardian or Peerblock? Those block all valve ips.
Nope, I'm not runing any kind of blocking software
Virus scanned yet?
I said on the whole network, so unless a virus bent on stopping me from accessing Valve's webpages has infested 4 different computers(One which haven't been on for weeks) I would say it would be very unlikely, still could use a virus scan though. [editline]09:56PM[/editline] Half a day without Steam, I'm starting to freak out!

[/QUOTE] Um, viruses can propagate through a network.
Same thing in Sweden
