blacjk ops goty
GOTY so far for me has to be Portal 2, and I haven't even finished it, but I'm sure that at the end of the year, its going to be either Deus Ex 3 or Skyrim. And no, I haven't upgraded my PC in 1 1/2 years, and I don't see the need until the next console generation releases, because now we're at the point at which I could run every single fucking game on ultra for the last 2 years. Good job consoles, good job.
I haven't really played any games from this year yet. At least, Ones I'd consider for GOTY. And I'd upgrade in a heartbeat, If I had the money.
Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Portal 2, maybe BF3. Tie between those.
So many good games, not enough time.
Portal 2 adventure is brilliant and fun and exciting and everything. Didn't care much for the co-op though. But I don't know.. There's not really many games that I'm anticipating, but some future installments that people don't even dare to talk about yet. Maybe ElderScrolls Skyrim, but upon hearing I can't play the role of a petty Aragonian thief murderer, my expectations went down a little. :saddowns:
L.A. Noire is up there, but I think Portal 2 is the best so far.
1. Portal 2 so far, but I'm sure Skyrim or Battlefield 3 will take that position. Portal 2 is still excellent nonetheless. 2. I haven't upgraded my PC lately, but to play Battlefield 3 I'm going to have to make a major upgrade. I'm running on 2005-2006 hardware (besides my graphics card which is a GTX 250 from 2010). This summer I plan on working more and getting the money to build another computer with Windows 7.
I think it will be really hard to choose between ME3 and skyrim for rpg of the year, if not goty.
I bet IGN is gonna make MW3 GOTY Why? Because they're IGN
Portal 2 but that might change, there's so many good games coming out this year. Upgraded my PC this February from Pentium 4 2.6Ghz and ATI Radeon X1650 to 3.0Ghz E5700 Dual-core and ATI HD 5670. Went from getting low FPS with all Low on TF2 to being able to play Crysis on Maximum and for just 200€.
Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Portal 2, maybe BF3. Tie between those.
Mass Effect 3 isn't even coming out this year. :v:
Portal 2 seems like the best one to me so far. Battlefield 3 or Skyrim might take its place though.
Skyrim will be the best.
Portal 2 but DX3, Skyrim and BF3 are looking to dethrone it Built a new PC phase one in December and phase two in March, loving it :keke:
Portal 2 is NOT GOTY material. It was fun and artistic, yes. But a bigger more exciting game should take GOTY, such as Battlefield 3 or Skyrim.

I bet The Witcher 2 won't be considered at all for GOTY if it remains a PC exclusive title.
Duke Nukem Forever should get GOTY (when it comes out of course).
My vote goes for Skyrim, I love every TES game. But for the games released this year, I would say Portal 2 or Witcher 2. I'm planning on upgrading my pc soon. New motherboard and cpu and such, maybe gpu.
Portal 2 is NOT GOTY material. It was fun and artistic, yes.
I don't see why not.
Portal 2 is NOT GOTY material. It was fun and artistic, yes. But a bigger more exciting game should take GOTY, such as Battlefield 3 or Skyrim.
Portal is overrated.
Duke Nukem Forever should get GOTY (when it comes out of course).
Its not gonna be able to live up to the immense incredible hype its getting, and everybody is going to hate Gearbox, which is sad for me, cause that means no Borderlands 2. But really, DNF isn't GOTY material. Probably.
Portal 2 is NOT GOTY material. It was fun and artistic, yes. I recall the original Portal getting a ton of GOTY awards and it was only a few hours long. Size and scope don't always come out on top. [editline]30th May 2011[/editline]
But really, DNF isn't GOTY material. Probably.
It is unfair to make any assumption about it yet because nobody has been able to play it yet.
so far = Portal 2 on end of year = Portal 2 or Deus Ex
For some reason the title made me think of "All quiet on the western front."

Portal 2 was a great experience in it owns special way with clever dialogue and excellent cast of characters. I think BF3 or Skyrim will reign as overlords this year. They won't sell better than MW3, but they will be better. (so ironic and frustrating.)
