Hi guys, I'm finally at the point that I desperately need a new computer. (After procrastinating for years.) I've put together this so far - and I'd like to know if it's any good, or if there are better options that would provide more power yet not surpass my $1050 budget. http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=16304508 Thanks.
overkill psu
Well, personally, i5/i7 are pretty much wastes (in my opinion) If you're going for a 1050, perhaps AMD or a LGA775 quad. Oh, and you don't really need 750w
Thanks. I think I might be able to do that. How much of a performance boost would that give me?
a 5770 is a little less powerful than a 4890. A 5850 is pretty much equal to a 4870x2, but with DX11, Eyefinity, ect

I do like the price... But I don't know a whole lot about AMD processors. How would that one compare to a i5-750?

Even my Q6600 @ 3.0 doesn't really increase frames in games (unless they enable multicore processing)

Even my Q6600 @ 3.0 doesn't really increase frames in games (unless they enable multicore processing)
I just looked at some charts on Tomshardware. It seems like in running processes the AMD Phenom outperforms the 750 (Either that or I'm reading it wrong) And the 750 outperforms the Phenom in gaming fps. I really am at a loss as to which one to get. If anyone else has some input based on experience or something like that, I would be very appreciative. So in your opinion the 945 is a better buy?
