I wasn't able to finish the game without using noclip at the end of one the last missions. I wonder if they fixed it.
Those settlement improvements/fixes are great.
I still max the game, but whenever I enter a city I get 12-20 FPS on lowest, I hope they fix that.
you probably put ifpsclamp=60 in one of the config files
my game doesn't slow down as you describe
Has anybody else had problems with the debris thing?
I've tried it on medium, high and ultra but when I shoot things nothing happens
Has any one fixed the issue of the game simulating faster above 60fps?
oh boy more nvidia gameworks shit that runs badly on AMD cards
(which is funny because I own an nvidia card but I really hate nvidia's anticompetitive practices)
oh boy more nvidia gameworks shit that runs badly on AMD cards
And this is why I have an nVidia card.
Not that I'm bothering to use these anyway because FO4 runs like dogshit in the first place.

But I love that bug.
fallout 4 broke my old cpu & ram, wont play it again
i will stick to my runescape & rocket league
I have dual 970's and even I have performance issues in this game on ultra or even just high @1080p

I run the game perfectly on a single 970. Only option I have disabled is Ambient Occlusion because I don't like it.
Run geforce experience to optimize the game's performance and install ENB.
Shouldn't they optimize the game before adding more taxing features?
I mean fuck, even my 980Ti gets fucking drops on Fallout 4. And the game does NOT look good enough to warrant that.
I feel weird because I'm in the vast minority. Game runs perfectly fine on Ultra at 1080p on my r9 390. (Though I drop some things like godrays to low because Nvidia is fucking retarded with their Gameworks bullshit, doesn't even run well on Nvidia. Theres practically no visual difference between low and ultra and it comes with a 30% performance difference. )
Surprising to me is them furthering support for ESDF, something that's great for me. Now all they gotta do is add simultaneous gamepad and mouse+keyboard support.

How did Fallout 4 break hardware, presumably by disabling thermal throttling on a firmware level? That defies logic.

I don't know how you can call fallout 4's performance 'perfect'
geforce experiance is a shit program, and I wish people would stop recommending it. I don't know how people can't just change settings in the settings menu.
god rays / ssao (always useless and high impact / occlusion all off. SLI gives it a boost but even then I can get frame drops.
never mind the fact that I can run gta 5 maxed out in 4k, online, in a full server, with 0 frame drops, at a constant 60 fps flawlessly.

This is core engine shit and would probably require a full engine rewrite. Not justifying that shit, just saying you're naive if you actually expect a patch for that.
I have dual 970's and even I have performance issues in this game on ultra or even just high @1080p
Same setup here, I actually get better performance if I set SLI to Single GPU(disabled effectively). Otherwise I get issues with the AO not loading properly, severe increases in texture load time, and the lens flares are visible through walls and flickery, plus is unstable and likes to crash a lot.
It's a lot better to just disable SLI until they get a proper implementation, which is unlikely seeing how half-assed their implementation of AO, Godrays, and Flex is.

SLI helps a bit for some shit for me, but if I don't run it it's hard to get 60 to be solid like it needs to be, and even with or without it I can get 30-40 in the cities where most of the gameplay happens
How about fixing the fact that its an utter shit RPG experience at its core? Like, add some fucking consequences to your actions for fucks sake, how can i simultaneously be working for the brotherhood and also be murdering every brotherhood patrol i see?
fallout 4 broke my old cpu & ram, wont play it again

You think that's bad? I burned out my CPU, Mobo, and Power Supply.
for anyone curious as to what the debris looks like

To be honest, i can't even notice the new AO, seems kinda pointless when you can't see it.
New debris looks nice tho, reminds of Borderlands 2.

this isn't the thread for that
you know they can't patch the story, i'm sure you're not a complete retard, so why even post?
I run it fine on my rig maxed out with an older i7 and a 960GTX 4GB, idk I haven't had any issues really. The debris look cool I like that
Worried it's going to patch the Yaoi Gui roast thing increasing your melee damage by 500%, that's my ace in the hole for when I'm about to die lol
This update just makes my game crash when loading a save

Shit like that has been fixed by a fucking binary patch in Oblivion/FO3/NV. It's changing a simple timer function to another simple timer function. There's no reason for it not to have been fixed by now.

Looks very out of place.
im very sure nvidia sinks a shitload of money into bethesda to optimize stuff for nvidia only
tbh amd cards run it pretty bad and get a lot of things removed because nvidia is a bad player
im disappointed that i wont get to experience most of the graphical upgrades

Oh great.
More Gameworks shit. I guess I shouldn't play the game anymore.
