what about the ridiculous price of software as well, it's even worse than the cost of games.
Hopefully. Aussies have it really bad.
The only time games are cheap are during sales or going to CDkey warehouses, retail shops like EBGames beef up the price for all their games, if I remember correctly COD was about $110 and I bought Dead Island 1 for $90 Shit thing is that they get away with it
what about the ridiculous price of software as well, it's even worse than the cost of games.
Adobe and Microsoft were already called before the committee to give evidence regarding the price of software in Australia - it didn't go well for them as the Government didn't seem to suggest that their responses were valid or justified.
Considering when Steam sales roll around and i can get a fuckton of games for the same price as 1 to 2 games new in Australia, the prices of games really need to be lowered.
Fucking finally. The excuse of "It's Australia's isolation that makes it more expensive to ship over there" has been invalid for years.

Glade it is being looked into, hope things actually change..
But guys, we have a higher minimum wage, that means it's ok to have $100+ prices! I know this because internet economists told me so!
just because america's minimum wage is depressingly low doesn't mean we should suffer for it so tired of hearing that tired old line trotted out. We have a higher general cost of living, too. No one ever seems to bring that up.

If anyone lives in Melbourne, go here. Much cheaper http://www.dungeoncrawl.com.au/
Fucking finally. Moreso electronic equipment built in Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan. Therefore always making that excuse invalid?
Console games are stupidly expensive in France too. A new console game will cost 70€, so 85$ after conversion. PC games aren't so afflicted thanks to steam.
