I'm confused why is it suddenly set in 1947
why does it have that whole see through walls thing every stealth game has
oh god why does it have a kill everything button
I was fine with this up until he got a million points for using that crappy execution system and shooting a guy in the head.
I mean how is that better than silently killing someone in a corner
Apparently Purist doesn't have any of the X-ray bullshit.

It's not a problem, it can be turned off.
Cool guys dont look at explosions.
Seriously though Im glad they are showing these stealth playthroughs. Looks properly good.
Well it was good until the KILL EVERYTHING button appeared.
Awesome, i like how they've taken the time to construct believable environments and situations while also catering for every type of player, my doubts have been put to rest, ( except for replacing David Bateson! and ruining the Diana story! )
But i must add the point shooting kinda ruined it, they should give players instinct to spend on other things besides pointshooting as to cater to fans who hate the instakill all button.
For example add a Bioware style dialogue system and use instinct to get information from npcs, that would be a good way to cater for not having the "walkthrough" style menu's popping up everywhere.
I'm definitely gonna turn off these easy mode features when I buy it, though I will admit they're good for new players and casuals who are new to the series.
I also like how the player lost a crap-ton of points for knifing that one police officer and by causing an explosion that blew up the entire scrapyard.
Seriously, color cross-filtering doesn't look good. It's like someone pissed yellow and shat purple all over the colors.
I thought it looked pretty good (still wondering why its set in a 40's/50's atmosphere
and im not bothered by the SHOOT EVERYONE button as it costs loadsaemone to use
Suppressed 45 acp = Absolutely no sound from the gun. Oh video games.
Was that..Pigs fucking?
Seeing as how the characters in the game had cellphones I think its safe to say the game has different culturally inspired areas. I wouldn't be surprised if there was somewhere in the USA like that.

Well if they are going to push realism.
Look at human revolution you play as a robot man who can shoot rockets out his ass and they still made gun sounds realistic even when suppressed.
This looks pretty fun, I'm probably going to turn off all that x-ray hoohah and the point shooting shit.
highest difficulty disables all of the conviction features
and you're a pussy if you play any difficulty but the highest anyways so
This is hitman, theres no such thing as easy or normal mode.
Only the highest is acceptable.

Oh hey those are both optional and can be turned off and as such you don't have to use them. The more you know!
Looking really good for a pre beta build
Looking really good for a pre beta build
Its pre-beta?
Doesnt it come out in november? Shouldnt it be in beta already or somethin?
Seriously, color cross-filtering doesn't look good. It's like someone pissed yellow and shat purple all over the colors.
It looks good in dark areas but the daylight ones look like fucking fallout new vegas, eww

It probably is. This was for E3 so they probably chose a stable build instead of the latest build.
Looks alright to me. Obviously I'll be turning on the hardest difficulty for this and going for the highest rank each level. Definitely looks to be a lot of freedom in the level though which is great, and the whole environment looked really alive especially in the place with the music playing.

Misread a post.
I really thought that this game wouldn't be nearly as good as the past Hitman games. However, after watching this I can safely say that I think this will actually be a pretty good game in terms of allowing you to take out the target however you want. I don't like that "Instinct" or "Point-Shooting" stuff, but since it can be disabled, I'm alright with it. Looking forward to this game.
i love how the guys playing this are clearly not silent assassins
killing that poor barber :C
To be fair they would be giving away too much if they did a silent assassin style playthrough, plus the mass kill was clearly to appeal to the crowd that isn't already watching/buying the game, it's quite sad really you have to cater to the larger audience by being more violent and murderous.
Why would they make a Hitman game and then market it to someone else? If it's a new Hitman game then it's going to instantly appeal to those who liked the other Hitman games. The Hitman series is a very iconic franchise, to the point of being almost self-explanatory. You can describe an entire game by saying "It's like Hitman".
So the fact they're showing off rambo-style gameplay worries me that they're not marketing to a different crowd - they've actually changed the gameplay style.
Its been said before, Hitman has never been about stealth as much as the freedom to complete an objective in your own style and the video showed this off pretty well - there was a few stealth kills, a few accident kills and all out rambo kills. I don't get why you're worried about how it's marketed because just watching that video should give you proof enough that there's a lot of flexibility to be had in the levels.

Ya know, except for the fact that you could rambo pretty much every level in every game so really they've changed nothing.
The people complaining about the new ~modern elite tactical kill button~ are a bunch of ignorant little shits. It's to appeal to a new crowd of console gamers who found the old Hitman games too difficult and clunky to get into. They can't rely on purely their old fans to provide a profit for the game. Going into that purist mode that is briefly talked about in the video takes out most of the new features out, including the point shoot system, instinct, and some other hint/guide shit.

They'd know this if they watched the video instead of jumping to conclusions and shouting bloody murder.

The points system looks completely broken at the moment. Watch it throughout the video. The score system is partially functional at best.
And unlike splinter cell, it seems like they want it to be a very rare thing, if at all, for you to use it. It burns through a lot of instinct currency.
Keeping in mind that agent 47 is a heavily modified human with the intention of producing an excellent killing machine. It always struck me as a little odd that he never displayed any particularly superhuman capabilities aside from decent strength and abnormal resistance to bullets. Having abilities which permit you to act, on rare occasions, in a super human fashion fits the character better.
That said, I do see where you are coming from. I am, however, willing to offer them the benefit of the doubt given the attention to detail in the rest of the level and the obvious variety of opportunities and methods to kill folks.
