Aside from voicing a character, Starr will also contribute an original song and music video, “I Wish I Was A Powerpuff Girl," to the special. "Dance Pantsed" will debut on Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. EST with a 10-episode "Powerpuff Girls" marathon airing the day before. We're super psyched, let's just hope HIM doesn't make an appearance!
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/12/16/powerpuff-girls_n_4455318.html
is that really what they're gonna look like?
First they ruined Teen Titans and now probably this... But ill check it out just in case.
Well so far the designs of the characters don't look too bad. Here's hoping.
it will never be as good as the anime version
is that really what they're gonna look like?
do you really mind that art-style? or are you just upset it's not the original? i think it actually looks better (and you cant tell their quality isn't as bad as in the picture in the OP, look at the CN logo)
holy fuck, this will be awesome. I used to watch this every time it was on as a kid.
Ummm, they've been working on a series for quite some time. There's nothing "one-time" about this.
is that really what they're gonna look like?
It isn't really for old fans of the show, more of along the lines that they announce it, people who watched it as a kid now had children and are like "omg I remember this show!!" gets their kids interested, who watch it. If this one night premerie does well, they will probably continue the show in this new modern style. In the end it is about money and trying to a appeal to the kids of this new generation, so obviously they're going to update the style to be more modern seeing as the show came out almost 16 years ago.

And no, I don't like their artstyle.
is that really what they're gonna look like?
You say that like they didn't originally look fucking weird as hell too.

Fibonacci Sequins.
PLEASE
i remember that Him apocalypse episode being super creepy when i was a kid.
You say that like they didn't originally look fucking weird as hell too.
They looked weird as hell, like little bobblehead mutants next to every single other person in the series (aside from the villains), but good god these one's arms. They're attached to their bloody head, not their body!
I'm excited for it regardless of the changes.
Ok I am less excited about it, it's being directed by David Smith and the characters are going through a redesign [t]http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130827151533/powerpuff/images/d/da/The_Powerpuff_Girls_Dance_Pants_R-EVIL-ution.jpg[/t] Just why
Better this than the PPG Z style
Man, i feel so young again after seeing Powerpuff Girls again :v:
PLEASE
scared the shit out of me when i was a kid
Ok I am less excited about it, it's being directed by David Smith and the characters are going through a redesign [t]http://static2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130827151533/powerpuff/images/d/da/The_Powerpuff_Girls_Dance_Pants_R-EVIL-ution.jpg[/t] Just why
it kinds of look like some ugly 3D characters from a PS1 game
wasn't basically powerpuff girls the same as MLP where it was directed at children but a lot of old people got hooked aswell or something
I wouldn't mind the art style change if it wen't for that weird eyeliner thing they got going on.
I'd been sort of ok with it if they didn't decide to make the linework textured in such a shitty way. Why couldn't it just be clean lines? Why did it have to imitate some sort of handcrafted look in the shittiest way possible? Why am I even complaining when I have no intention of watching it anyways?
wasn't basically powerpuff girls the same as MLP where it was directed at children but a lot of old people got hooked aswell or something
I was thinking of this too but the primary difference is that this didn't spawn a fandom.
A shame I'm now 20 years old.
wasn't basically powerpuff girls the same as MLP where it was directed at children but a lot of old people got hooked aswell or something
I wouldn't say particularly more than most other cartoons at the time.
At least not in the MLP sense anyway.
