Will a new videocard be sufficient or should I build a whole new PC?

My current specs are:
- nVidia 8800GT 512mb videocard
- Quad CPU q9450 at ~2,7 GH
- 2048 ram
- P5e3 motherboard
I think the CPU would still be fine with a new GFX card but I'm not sure
Could anyone help me out with this? thanks!
What's your monitor resolution?
Also I'd look into getting 2GB more RAM. Is it DDR2 or DDR3?
It seriously depends on what you're gonna use it for, specify?
gaming etc.
specifically the upcoming battlefield.
I'm not sure about the ram, I'm guessing ddr3.
monitor resolution is 1920x1050
I would stick with the q9450. Get atleast 4gb ram, as it's very cheap. Also get a new gfx card, don't know what price range you're at though.
Also, motherboard seems fine, as it usually doesn't have any reasonable impact on your performance.

Get a 2x2GB RAM package, then you'll have 6GB RAM, and get a 6850 / GTX 460 or better videocard.

A 560 TI / 6950? would be best.
well if you wanted to build a new pc, what is your budget?
he doesn't need a new pc yet
although after this upgrade OP shouldn't expect much more out of his PC
Isn't that one of the models of graphics cards that the fans fuck up over time, causing the card to overheat?
Anyway, get some ram, and a new GPU, and not upgrade it any further.
