Many people I know keep saying to switch to Intel. Should I stay with my AMD or switch? Is it better for gaming? Specs:
I used to be a religious AMD user, but back when Intel introduced the Dual Cores I started seeing their CPUs work better for what I was doing. I've used Intel ever since. [editline]11th December 2010[/editline] BTW I was using them for gaming and work
no [editline]12th December 2010[/editline] don't switch just for the sake of switching, if you need to upgrade get the best bang for your buck
I think they generally are, but the difference isn't so gigantic that you should buy a new motherboard and CPU just for a small, hardly noticeable improvement
Nope, my AMD Athlon II X4 630 ~2.8 GHz is awesome :fappery: [editline]12th December 2010[/editline] YOU'RE 635 :buddy: [editline]12th December 2010[/editline] :hf:
My Phenom II X6 3.2GHz costs less than an i7 and performs better.
You don't need to upgrade until you encounter problems or are dissatisfied. Wait until Sandy Bridges at least. Price to performance.
17C? overclock it. [editline]12th December 2010[/editline] if I'm not idling 40C I bump up the speeds
17C? overclock it. [editline]12th December 2010[/editline] if I'm not idling 40C I bump up the speeds
How would one do this
How would one do this
you have a bios use it
Oh right, I forgot about my motherboard's oc thing
If you ever need a new processor for some reason and Intel has a better product at the time, yes. I wouldn't switch just to switch though.
My Phenom II X6 3.2GHz costs less than an i7 and performs better.
Maybe an i7 620m.
Why the fuck would one buy a GTS 450 if you vould've gotten a 5770 for the same price?
Dem Idle temps.
Why the fuck would one buy a GTS 450 if you vould've gotten a 5770 for the same price?
because his computer is probably a pre-built.....
because his computer is probably a pre-built.....
No, it isn't.
because his computer is probably a pre-built.....
If it was a prebuilt, it would probably have an manufacturer branded BIOS and motherboard identification instead of just Biostar.
Cpu buddies! :fuckyou:
My next pc is going to be build with whatever CPU gets the higest score on tomshardware (or simmillar) with the lowest price.
17C? Your cpu is cold, warm it up
17C? Your cpu is cold, warm it up
5ghz at least.
17C? Your cpu is cold, warm it up
You made me do this
You made me do this [img_thumb]http://stephenl.net/images/cold.png[/img_thumb]
Aww, overclock that bitch.
