I'm not much of a movie buff as my family never went to see movies much and we don't really have much of a collection. So I'm trying to catch up on some 'must-see' stuff. My favourite films are ones that I can take things from and apply them to my own life, as cliché as it is; stuff like Fight Club (yeah I know I know I should have read the book.)
What would consider high up on your 'made me think' list?
I'm not sure if this should have gone in the Film and TV section as it's really a 'post your.'
not sure if this is what exactly you're looking for but is a pretty cool movie

The "x movie" (Date movie, meet the spartans etc) series made me question who the fuck finds this sort of stuff funny.

He wasn't dreaming at the end.
Most of Uwe Boll's movies made me ask "Why?".
The time machine
Planet of the Apes (every last one of them)
The island of Dr. Moreau
The day the Earth stood still
War of the worlds
The happening
Never let me go
Children of men
The man from Earth
Gattaca
Equilibrium
1984
Brave new world
Hachiko: a dog story
I, Robot
Inception
Ip Man
Moon
That's all for now, I don't remember a great deal of them.
Shrek 4, why was it so shit?!
Waking Life. The whole movie's pretty much philosophical dabble with trippy animation. Not a lot of plot but the dialogue's really thought provoking stuff.

The Matrix made me think what if everything is just a sort of dream?
The 2nd and 3rd movies just made me think "oh god why would anyone do this."
All of them pretty much.
Once Upon A Time in America made me question my creativity and friendship...
Angels of the Universe (the book more though) made me question my insanity...
Memento made me question a lot of things..
Inception made me question my own reality..

Hahaha what?
The Fast and Furious was really deep so yeah that
I'm not really sure I've found what I'm looking for. I want something that could possibly change my outlook on life (a little bit.)
God that's cheesy. Anyway.
