no
technically? of course they will. it's one less feature they can use. but for real? no one gives a shit about motion control anymore it was a gimmick then and still is a gimmick (that doesn't fucking work half the time). the only excuse for kinect now is for PC. even then that's a very specialized need.
Its just been a glorified door stop for me since day one tbh. Its also mistaken some of my voice for commands once or twice when playing and after that I left it unplugged for good.
Haven't tried the improved one for the xbox one but the 360 one was a lot of fun to navigate menus with and such. Is it worth the pricetag? Probably not. I bought mine to mess around with programming for it so I got my money's worth.
Sure they will totally miss Kinect Animal Zoo 2! Phil Spencer seems to be doing a pretty good job so far, I'm kinda thrilled for this years E3 Microsoft Conference again. ---
but for real? no one gives a shit about motion control anymore it was a gimmick then and still is a gimmick (that doesn't fucking work half the time). the only excuse for kinect now is for PC. even then that's a very specialized need.
You think so? I mean now with the New VR Trend Motion Control, or at least Motion Tracked Input devices, surely will go into Round 2... but you're right as in: they really have to step up their precision, the available gaming devices were pretty underwhelming so far, and weren't even able to manifest themselves as gimmicks...

But that isn't really motion, and not all games use it. Microsoft is the last company on the motion control bandwagon.
The only thing that I've heard people like are the voice controls, and even then, they don't quite work 100%
the only thing that's is somewhat cool that non-Kinect owners would miss out on is the "xbox record that" since apparently there is no other way to make the xbone record footage
Plus games that already have had mandatory kinect functionality added in that just won't work. Like when there were non-sixaxis ps3 controllers and people tried to play Killzone 2 with em, only to be stuck whenever they had to place wall charges. I don't think there's a non-kinect way to push zombies away in Dead Rising 3.
Take away the Kinect, and all the Xbox One has to stand on are its exclusives.
Voice controls were cool (Even if they barely worked because I speak English rather than US English), but the bigger loss is what game developers could have done, removing it as a core system component means game devs can't rely on implementing it as a core feature, so you're going to see the same kind of Kinect style games as the 360 had (Where it was basically a gimmick)
