Mitt Romney:
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has consistently focused on criticizing President Barack Obama, while occasionally taking shots at his rival candidates. Last week he compared the president to Marie Antoinette, the French queen who famously dismissed the struggles of the struggling French working class prior to being overthrown during the French Revolution in the late 1800s. On Sunday though, the former Massachusetts governor compared Mr. Obama to a more contemporary well paid female, reality television star Kim Kardashian. “You know, I’ve been looking at some video clips on YouTube, of President Obama, then candidate Obama, going through Iowa making promises,” said Mr. Romney Sunday during a campaign stop in Iowa, The Los Angeles Times reports. “The gap between his promises and his performance is the largest I’ve seen since, well, the Kardashian wedding and the promise of ”Til death do us part.’” Mr. Obama and his campaign staff have exchanged barbs with the Romney campaign throughout the Republican primary campaign season, essentially signaling their belief that the Bain Capital co-founder will eventually secure the Republican nomination in 2012. During the standoff in Congress regarding the extesion of the reduced payroll tax rate, the president used his Twitter account to attack Mr. Romney, asking why he had not stated his own position regarding the payroll tax rate. Mr. Romney has also used Twitter to attack the president, often stating figures regarding the U.S. economy and unemployment rate. On Sunday, with just two days remaining until the Iowa caucus vote, Mr. Romney kept up on his criticism of Mr. Obama, trying to appeal to middle-class voters who are struggling. “It’s been a tough three years. It’s been a detour; it’s not our destiny,” Mr. Romney said. “You can remember well when every week you thought about what movie you might want to take the kids to at the end of the week, instead of thinking about did you get enough meals to go on the table till the end of the week, till the next paycheck came. “You can remember a time when it was OK to look at headlines, when you weren’t scared to look at your retirement account, when, let’s see, when you weren’t afraid to look at the price at the pump,” said Mr. Romney. “You can remember when you were thinking about retirement, where you might retire. Now, you’re thinking how many jobs will you have to have, will you ever get a chance to retire. Look, that America you remember is still out there and we want to reclaim that America.” Read more: http://www.thestatecolumn.com/articles/mitt-romney-compares-president-obama-to-kim-kardashian/#ixzz1iMjg9DC4
Ron Paul:
The Republican presidential candidates have taken their turns criticizing former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum in the wake of his surge in popularity in Iowa, and Texas congressman Ron Paul became his latest critic during an appearance on CNN Monday. Mr. Paul himself has been characterized as the “liberterian candidate” by several political pundits in recent weeks, and on Monday he gave that same label to Mr. Santorum. “He’s very liberal,” Mr. Paul said when asked why Mr. Santorum would not be a good Republican candidate. “Have you looked at his record? Go look at his record. He spends too much money, he wasn’t leading the charge to slash the budgets and vote against big government.” The Texas congressman’s assesment of his rival echoed the thoughts of Texas Governor Rick Perry, who in recent days has said Mr. Santorum was “addicted to earmarks” while in the senate. Mr. Paul’s son, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, was also critical of Mr. Santorum while appearing on CNN Monday with his father. “He voted to double the size of the Department of Education,” Rand Paul said. “He voted to expand Medicare and add free drugs for senior citizens and he has voted for foreign aid. Those are not conservative principles. Seventy-seven percent of the American people are opposed to foreign aid and Rick Santorum has voted for it every time it’s come down.” Mr. Santorum has consistently called himself a “fiscal conservative” throughout the campaign season, but it now appears that his rivals are trying to convince his supporters that he simply is not. The Des Moines Register poll of likely Iowa caucus voters released Saturday showed Mr. Santorum in third place, behind Mr. Paul and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. Last week, Mr. Santorum made the same type of “liberal” claims about Mr. Paul, while categorizing himself, Mr. Perry and Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann as the “true conservative” candidates in the race. “There’s really three primaries going on here,” said Mr. Santorum. ”There’s the libertarian primary, which Ron Paul is going to win. Then you’ve got the moderate primary, which Gingrich and Romney are scrumming for. And you’ve got three folks who are running as strong conservatives.” Mr. Santorum’s most recent campaign stops have seen a surge of reporters and likely caucus goers, eager to assess the sentiment of the surging candidate. He is hoping that his early groundwork in the Hawkeye state will lead to a successful night for him on Tuesday, after largely being considered irrelevant throughout much of the campaign season. Of course the Pauls would call Santorum a liberal. They're so far to the batshit end-of-the-rainbow right that anyone with a smidgen of sanity is liberal in comparison.
Even though Romney is labeled as a flip flopper, he is definitely the most sane candidate. What he said about Obama makes quite a bit of sense, and it's a sort of funny comparison
this is the craziest republican primary I've seen in a long time. enough said (sorry about the small image)

They talk about whoever is in 1st, which also brings up a lot of dirt about them. Then they go down , and the cycle continues
How about we rate them? From worst to best; 6. Michelle Bachmann
1. Jon Huntsman
Of course the Pauls would call Santorum a liberal. They're so far to the batshit end-of-the-rainbow right that anyone with a smidgen of sanity is liberal in comparison.
Are you implying that Santorum is more sane than Paul?

Are you daft?
I think the GOP just categorizes anything that involves not cutting government or taxes (and isn't their own policy) as Liberal/Progressive, regardless of what the actual policy position is.
The second news article has a fault. It has made the mistake of equating Libertarians with liberals. Two staggeringly different ends of the spectrum. This skews the entire point the author is trying to make.
The title makes them sound like the 3 retards.
Second article is awful, the writer doesn't know the difference between a libertarian and a liberal
Second article is awful, the writer doesn't know the difference between a libertarian and a liberal
Glad to know people still read the article.
1. Jon Huntsman
7: Ron Paul
Second article is awful, the writer doesn't know the difference between a libertarian and a liberal
I suppose it depends if he's using 'liberal' in the classical sense rather than liberal as another word for Centre-Left or Progressive.
How the fuck is Obama like Kim Kardashian?
How the fuck is Obama like Kim Kardashian?
Read the article jackass
Santorum reminds me of The Situation. They should do a rap album together
1. Jon Huntsman
Wait, I thought John Huntsman was actually fairly sane? Why are you ranking him the worst?
Wait, I thought John Huntsman was actually fairly sane? Why are you ranking him the worst?
Obviously he's ranking him the best not worst
Eh, the one guy said "Worst to best," so I thought number one would be the absolute worst candidate. Guess I was wrong.
why not just give the election to the democrats already.
I thought Obama was going to lose for a long time, but the more I look at these candidates, the more I realize that Obama has an amazing chance by being at least halfway decent at his job and not insane.
