Grim Fandango Remastered marks the return of gaming's most recognisable, and notoriously unavailable, cult classic - now on Windows, Mac, and Linux. This upcoming release got everybody so excited, Tim Schafer even prepared a special trailer all about how you can pre-order Grim Fandango Remastered (and why that’s a fine idea) right now, exclusively on GOG.com for the first week!
http://www.gog.com I, am so damn excited about that. I remember playing the demo version of it which didn't had any voice acting, but that didn't bothered me to receive some love from me.
So it has the new lighting and such from the PS4 version? Always wanted to play this so definitely in if so.
Wait, this isn't PS4 exclusive? Sweet.
Original and proper tank controls? Oh tim, you fucker.
Wait, this isn't PS4 exclusive? Sweet.
Timed exclusive IIRC
Hells yes. Always wanted to play this, I missed it when it was first released way back when.
I finally get to play this, Im so excited.
Aha...ahahaha. No. If I wanna play I'll watch a Let's Play, he ain't gettin' none of my money.
Regardless of how poorly he handles money, dude knows how to direct a game. Brutal Legend, Psychonauts, various smaller games, GRIM FANDANGO, DAY OF THE TENTACLE. The man makes good stuff, people just shouldn't let him manage the money end of things.
Except that's the problem, he's handling the money for all of them.
So, are we getting an unfinished alpha again? Or do we just buy the first half of the game now and pre-order the second part later?
It's great and all that it's on GOG, but is there a reason for it to not be on Steam too? I really want to keep my games in one place.

At least you could go through the trouble of pirating it, I mean it does say "DRM free" on the tin (User was banned for this post ("Warez" - Big Dumb American))
I've heard huge praise, but I've no idea what it's about
Download the game, install it into a folder in your Steam directory, add it to your library as a shortcut.
Yeah, but that doesn't mean it's forever in my steam library.
That's a terrible thing to say. At least you could go through the trouble of pirating it, I mean it does say "DRM free" on the tin
I'd rather not get banned.
It's great and all that it's on GOG, but is there a reason for it to not be on Steam too? I really want to keep my games in one place.
Just the pre-order is exclusive to GOG. It'll still launch on Steam when it releases.

Watch it be the first quarter of the game finished then a note telling people they can mod the rest in.
Watch it be the first quarter of the game finished then a note telling people they can mod the rest in.
Yea lets take a completely finished game that has been out for YEARS and gut it completely. That will TOTALLY make people love us.
Yes thank you for basically justifying DRM by being shitty about that.
I was only playing devil's advocate, I wasn't planning on illegally copying this game. I'll definetly look it up, I've heard good things about this game.

I hope they don't mess with the score too much, the soundtrack to this game was amazing. This song fills me with good vibes like nothing else.
Watch it be the first quarter of the game finished then a note telling people they can mod the rest in.
Well, the screenshots seem to cover only the first quarter of the game, but Tim couldn't be that awful, right? Right?
I remember playing this way back in the day with my dad, some of my happiest memories come from playing Grim Fandango. Can't wait to play this gem again.
Making yourself look dumb and having no indication of sarcasm does nothing more than make you look dumb.
Even though I don't intend to pirate this game, I don't think watching let's plays even compares to experiencing a videogame firsthand.
Even though I don't intend to pirate this game, I don't think watching let's plays even compares to experiencing a videogame firsthand.
That's not the part of what you did here that looks dumb.
Don't pre order video games, and FOR SURE don't pre order games from a studio that's been proven to just *decide* not to finish a game after many people have bought it, and is racked with money management problems and delays on every other project they have.
I intend to buy the game. Had it long ago, but that disc is long gone. Not going to do any pre-order bs though. It isn't like there is a limited number of them or a crazy long line to stand in. Absolutely zero incentive to pre-order. (what a stupid word, you either order or you don't.)
