The animals, which had all suffered internal bleeding, were found near each other over the space of three weeks. In one instance, a three-month-old calf was found alongside the body of its mother, apparently trying to wake her. "If indeed these poor elephants were maliciously poisoned, I would personally make sure that the culprits would be brought to justice and pay for their crime," Sabah Environmental Minister Masidi Manjun said.[/quote]
That's just fucked.
And just like last week we saw news that before-unknown pygmy elephants were found. Don't remember if these are the same.
thats cool I was already having a shitty day now I feel even worse what the fuck
About 2 and a half years ago I was in Borneo and got the pleasure of seeing some Pygmy Elephants in around about the same area as this. They were cool as heck and I don't know why someone would do this. [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2692549/ge_runway/DSC_5902.JPG[/thumb]

We did tree planting and stuff, though one time we got to the place we were planting to find out that the elephants had been through and squashed all the seedlings we'd prepared.
What Why poison them, you can breed them like hell and use them for useful purposes
I know some African reserves have problems of elephants dieing from eating a foreign plant that spreads like fuck, I seriously hope it's something like that here too.
That picture is a real stab to the heart... :(
