Ok, so I have a headache and I go to the medicine cabinet and grab the first packet of panadol I see. Unfortunatly for me, it is a childrens one, which means I have to eat like 6 tablets to get the same effect. So I ate them and I was sitting there looking at the packet when I noticed, written on the side of the packet, "EXP JAN04". These panadol are 6 years out of date. So Facepunch, should I have not eaten these tablets?
Obviously not.
Hmmm, this could be a problem then.
I would contact poison control, just to be safe. Ask them about the expired drug that you took.
This could be potentially life threatening. You should call poison control.
dont worry, it obviously doesn't matter. just kick back and listen to:
Akayz, this is no time for... Marvin Gaye? Nevermind, let's all enjoy some music here. [editline]01:58PM[/editline] No but in a more serious matter, this could be really dangerous, you should have yourself checked, OP!
http://www.minti.com/questions-and-answers/discussion/968374/baby-panadol-problem-/ OP, take a look. Might be a slight reassurance but PLEASE call poison control. You're not exactly a baby either.
I told you! How would "Child" Medicine out of date for 6 years affect anyone? Relax :smug:
Ok, I rang the INFOLINE on the packet and they said that the expiration date is more a best before, it just means that that is when the active ingredients start to stop working. So I pretty much downed 6 tablets that tasted like shit and it wont even do anything.

Tablets taste like shit anyways. p.s. you'll be fine babes
Go to the doctor.
It's all good guys, now to find some real panadol..
Well medicine going out of date does'nt usually matter until about a year after, and after the expiary date they dont have the same effect, but just to be sure contact poison control.now.
