i have been playing BFBC2 and when i run the game in SLi it seem to run worse than with just one card. is there something wrong with my computer?
Yes your running 7900's in SLI I can only imagine what the rest of the pc is.
I had a pretty nice amd setup but then it was taken by a friend. So I am running a dell xps 700 as my computer for the time being.
Do i smell ATI fanboyism?
no he's talking about the age of the system goddamn
Ugh. -snip-
ATI IS better then Nvidia.
Rate 'dumb' and move on, typical ATI / NVIDIA fanboy. Moving on. First off, why do you have a Dell computer? Second off, to answer your question, it's either 1) a faulty card or 2) the game itself not liking SLI. Games such as WoW have the same problems.

And the reason i have a dell computer is that is was given to me because my friend stole my computer and he felt bad so he gave me this dell.

Swap it back, 7900's are rubbish, unless your old computer was faster, then don't ever mention it again :v:
ok well there is a lot of explaining as to why I swapped computers so don't worry about it. What I'm wondering now, and my brother has mentioned is, could my mobo be bottlenecking my gpu's in sli? He says they might be running in x4, x4 and not x8, x8 but when I open up cpu-z it says x16, also cpu-z says I have a nforce 590 sli on my board. Why's everybody shitting over the 7900s in this thread? They did come out more than 4 years ago but it isn't THAT bad. And he has two of them. In the end they probably aren't any better than, let's say 4650, but they should still play games just fine. I really don't get it why everyone must criticise his system, it used to be pretty damn high end back in its time, it's just a bit old now. This is a completely different thing than buying a 30$ budget card and expecting it to run games. Besides that, the PS3 uses a graphics chip derived from the high end 7 series, and millions of people still use it today, and it's going to remain in use for a pretty long time. OP, you should bitchslap your friend for stealing your computer and trade it back, but first tell us the full specs of both computers.

And 2 sli 7900's are a little less than a 8800gt ( 1 - 5 fps). And use Speccy for the specs of the rest of the system.

IIRC, two 7900 GS cards are about the equivalent of an 8600 GTS. OP, you could probably do with an old 8800 card or an ATI 3800 series, it'd be a big upgrade over what you currently have.
I saw SLi: Disable in your GPU-Z screeny.
