He wouldn't have to do this If he would just go ahead and shoot lightening from his fingertips already.
This is a good thing. Here's to hoping that, one day, the pervy priest problem can one day become a thing of the past.
I'm sure this is going to accomplish a lot...
can barely see shit. Couldn't you just copy the text?
can barely see shit. Couldn't you just copy the text?
It's basically saying that the Pope is taking steps to crack down on pedo priests. They're revising the hiring process to weed out potential pedos, and it seems they're going to be more open and honest now about these cases.
the statute of limitations should be made indefinite, if the Church wants to improve their image they can't be tokenistic. It is pleasing to see them actually trying to do something though.
This is a good thing. Here's to hoping that, one day, the pervy priest problem can one day become a thing of the past.
It's never going to go away, as long as there are positions for adults to look after or teach children, there will be perverts filling them.
This should have been done 50 years ago
Posted a larger picture.
"Victim groups are critical of the move as it does not go far enough" How is reporting the crime to local police not far enough? Do you want the Catholic Church to execute the priests on the spot or something?
This is a good thing. Here's to hoping that, one day, the pervy priest problem can one day become a thing of the past.
And maybe, just maybe, we can have priests that rape elves. Ah, the glorious future. In all seriousness, I doubt this will do anything. I bet the pope doesn't even give a shit.
Just because he makes new rules and guidelines does not mean they will report it, hell. I'm sure there are far worse things going on in the Vatican.
"The Vatican should do something about this pedophilia problem!" -Vatican does something- "It's lying, it's not really going to do anything!"
"The Vatican should do something about this pedophilia problem!" -Vatican does something- "It's lying, it's not really going to do anything!"
If you'll note, I never said the Vatican should do something. Because the Vatican is the problem.

Whenever the pope talks about something all the indoctrinated zombies think what he says. Perhaps Church-goers will be more reactive to these situations now?
If you'll note, I never said the Vatican should do something. Because the Vatican is the problem.
Lets go purge the centuries old institution then
If you'll note, I never said the Vatican should do something. Because the Vatican is the problem.
If the Vatican were an organization just for pedophiles to abuse minors, then yes it is the problem. But the problem is individual priests abusing minors. The Vatican isn't the problem, it's just slowing the fixing of the problem. And now it's finally going to start to speed up the fixing process. And everyone cries foul for some reason.
Lets go purge the centuries old institution then
Yes, because things that are older are automatically sacred and better than the other, newer things! Like racism is so much better than tolerance! Yeah!

Or maybe that's what they want me to think?

The Pope, after all, is the "Vicar of Christ" (second in charge after Jesus).
Yes, because things that are older are automatically sacred and better than the other, newer things! Like racism is so much better than tolerance! Yeah!
And humanity has seen so many great outcomes of having iconoclasts run things.
Yes, because things that are older are automatically sacred and better than the other, newer things! Like racism is so much better than tolerance! Yeah!
hey-oh look at this guy everyone! Talks about tolerance immediately after suggesting destroying a very important symbol to a certain group of people because he doesn't agree with them! Talk about painting the kettle black am I right?
who in the fuck is advocating we burn down the vatican
Proposing to systematically dismantle religious institutions has no benefit and it may as well be burning down Vatican City.
Proposing to systematically dismantle religious institutions has no benefit and it may as well be burning down Vatican City.
Except for the whole preservation of those centuries of artwork and history thing which is the only good thing the vatican is good for anyway. What exactly is lost if the vatican is dissolved besides another theocratic power center?
I'll be sad.
Except for the whole preservation of those centuries of artwork and history thing which is the only good thing the vatican is good for anyway. What exactly is lost if the vatican is dissolved besides another theocratic power center?
Dissolving the Vatican and the Papacy is cutting the head off one of the world's largest religions. You seriously think that it's not a major loss to humanity?
Except for the whole preservation of those centuries of artwork and history thing which is the only good thing the vatican is good for anyway.
Not even that. I've been in there, they have floor mosaics of mermen. Mermen... with dicks. I'm STILL not sure how the fuck they managed to pull that off. I think I caught some stomach flu there, too. Our tour group was supposed to go to Pompeii either the next day or the day after, but, well, I had gotten sick. And that was the place I was most looking forward to. I'm not saying we need to burn it to the ground. I'm just saying that Luke needs to believe in the Force and guide the missile through the ventilation pipes in order to blow it up.
