After finally being able to get my computer to POST, I am met with a new problem. I get this blue screen error whenever I try to launch, safe made, last known good configuration, what have you. I know it's something to do with the hard drive so I googled it and found in this article: http://www.bunkerhollow.com/blogs/matt/archive/2009/08/24/windows-7-ssd-blue-screen-of-death-bsod-0x0000007b.aspx that changing the SATA settings in the BIOS from AHCI to compatibility would fix the problem. Unfortunately I am only able to change it from IDE to RAID. I have also tried setting the BIOS to default values. My motherboard is an ASROCK N68CS-UCC.
I take it you have tried changing IDE to RAID or vice-versa? Are you using a fake hardware/onboard RAID?
It's on IDE by default, and if I change it to RAID it asks me if I want to wipe my hard drive to make an array, and I don't really want to lose everything on it. I don't know what kind of RAID it is.
Is this a new build with a transplanted hard disk, or did it work before?
It worked before, then suddenly stopped posting. I got this new motherboard, and now it does post but I get a BSOD. If it's any help, this is the exact error I get:

You will need to jump through some hoops to disable AHCI in the registry or reinstall Windows.
Ok, thanks for your help.
