Since summer and I don't have a job I've been waking up at midnight and falling asleep somewhere around 4 P.M. for some fucked up reason and I'm trying to fix it. What are y'alln's best ways to stay awake?
If you sleep at 4 PM and wake at about 10, you have slept for about 6 hours. Wake at about 11, 7 hours, and at 12, 8 hours. Your sleep schedule probably got really screwed and in your situation I'd find a way to stay up for a decent amount of time*, sleep for a few hours, and wake in the morning- do that for a few days, your brain will adjust, and you won't have to try to stay awake anymore. Ay, but im no expert im a guy on facepunch lol *Problem is how do you stay awake for those few days? 1.) Pure willpower 2.) Caffeine could wreck your sleep schedule even more, but you don't know if you try (yolo) 3.) Get up and move around to stimulate yourself 4.) Take naps before you get tired 5.) If you look at a computer screen a lot, take breaks as your eyes get fatigued. 6.) Eat healthy snacks to boost energy 7.) Start a conversation to wake your mind 7.5.) You can also start a conversation in your head 8.) TURN UP THE LIGHTS 9.) Breathe calmly (somehow this helps people) 10.) Exercise and drink water 11.) Since your sleep cycle runs on daylight, go in the sun when you want to be awake. 12.) See a doctor [editline]3rd August 2016[/editline] Also you need about 7.5 - 9 hrs when you are an adult 18+
Use a Russian gas-based stimulant.
Coffee

Don't eat; Soon as you do, you'll drop like a sack of shit if you're past the 16h mark.
Get scared by scareh ghost
hang yourself by your hands above your head, high enough for you feet to be off the ground and blast heavy metal music at full volume, and surround yourself with strobe lights. Hey it works in Guantanamo Bay, it'll work for you
Pull hairs out (body hairs are best since they're plentiful) Stay active. Avoid large meals and try to eat smaller snacks periodically instead. Caffeine can work for a bit but don't expect it to carry you all the way Amphetamines can also work
keep yourself occupied and drink energy drinks
recently did an all nighter to fix my sleep schedule, here's some of the stuff I did 1. stay active, keep moving around rather than sitting down for long periods. 2. have a reason, and keep thinking about said reason. it's based on pure willpower how long you can stay up, don't give in no matter how tired you get 3. never lay down, easiest way to conk out without even noticing. 4. energy drinks/sodas/coffee will become your best friends 5. conversate with people, it will keep your mind going and keep your mind off wanting to sleep. basically, it's not gonna be easy, but you can manage it as long as you keep your mind to staying awake.
Just do something fun and engaging. When I start working on a coding project or play video games, I can keep going for days without stopping except to eat and drink. It's better to alternate between different activities so you don't get burned out though.
