I'd like to get stable content embedding first.

Not made in Electron.
That being said, pretty sure Skype eats RAM too, unless that's changed. I don't know, it's been a long time since I used Skype

Being used by enterprise and offering enterprise solutions?
To be fair, Discord is good at getting the casual groups of friends over but in the end Skype is still used for a lot of professional work contacts.
Also not claiming full ownership over whatever you upload to Discord.
Maybe add a pretty stable future? While Discord still has funds who knows for how long until they have to monetize Discord even more, especially with the added server load.
Discord itself still has a good amount of other problems, especially when it comes to managing a slightly bigger server. Not being able to 100% log everything without the use of a 3rd party bot for example.
The rights management is pretty horrible compared to other voice coms. Overall the voice part is acceptable for small groups but fails for big groups due to lack of admin/moderation options.
But Im digressing as its not really about Skype vs Discord.
I honestly don't get why Microsoft decided to let Skype be such a piece of shit. Like I don't have any issue with the video calling itself (I can see the other person, usually they can hear me etc), but everything surrounding it is just clunky and feels old.

The company I work for uses skype for business and its fucking terrible, and its not even the same thing as normal skype at all. It used to be called lync, and it was alright, then last year they decided " Hey, lets rename it skype for business to cash in on that mad brand recognition and it was all downhill from there.

I'm not sure what's worse in 2017: Discord's electron or Skype's delphi.
