• Can't get any sound to record in any program

Using a Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 USB Headset, with a RealTek integrated sound card, I can't get anything to record in FRAPs, Audacity, Extra Game Capture Pro, or any other audio capture program. I've managed to get it to record the microphone.. but not the sound from the game/operating system/web browser. The microphone works fine in games like HL2. All the recording programs were set to use the "Stereo Mix" to record. I have it set up so that I can hear myself when I speak into the mic. I followed this guide, but it's designed around the analog headsets, whereas mine is USB (and thus won't show up in the RealTek HD Audio Manager under the microphone tab. Piece of shit.) USB headphones will not work with Stereo Mix. You will need to plug any kind of headset into the 3.5 jack and set Stereo Mix to "Listen" to your USB headset while having the default listening device set to the headset in the 3.5 jack. It's annoying, I know.
