Has anyone here ever used one? They are used quite extensively in Scotland. The two most common ones are the Mk.5 and the Mk.9. Has anyone ever used these in america? They seem very useful and all around BAD ASS. Someone at a skirmish brought one of them. The shell of the flashbang flew back at us and hit one of us in the leg. Wasn't as deadly as this thing though. Just made a flash.
What country do you live in?
Usa
You should ask him where he got it. Because I really want some for an upcoming cqb
One of my friends got burnt from these
They won't let any pyrotechnics to be used on the fields around here. CA is in a drought and everything is super dry. One of those could easily spark up another fire around here.
That seems like a bad idea. For example, if you held one of them, would it blow your hand off or injure you? If so, then I wouldn't allow it during any of my games for safety reasons regardless of limits and rules regarding it's use.
Seriously, it blew a watermelon up. It will do the same to a hand if the fuse is damaged or lands next to someone behind a bunker.
It's just a flashbang anyway. Nobody uses any explosives in the field I go to. You don't really NEED them now do you? I also fail to see the badassery in them.
I find these to be way to expensive and dangerous for a one time use weapon. Good alternatives: -Blank firing grenades (If you live in GB) -These:http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/catalog1/index.php/cName/training-flash-bangs (Used one at OP: NW. VERY FUCKING LOUD) -Hakkotsu Thunder B flashbangs. Excellent value for thier effectiveness, I reccomend these over all else. Would you rather take out everyone/send everyone to cover in a room using a cheap grenade, or risk a facefull of BBs from well entrenched defenders clearing it the old fashiond way? I honestly wish I could carry more throwable grenades with me into combat, I find myself using them constantly, to great effect.
I use Thunder Flash Mark 5's when I'm clearing a building or a structure
i use thunder flash mark 5's when i'm clearing a building or a structure
i can't hear you what are you saying?
-snip
My point is that it would deafen you
They need bright blue, grenade shaped foam balls with plastic trigger assembly and such. Then sell them in a back of 5 or a dozen for a cheap price, like 10-20 bucks. That way you can throw it, forget about it, and then everyone near the thing has to take it a hit if they're in the blast radius which I would assume would be printed on the grenade. [editline]12:10PM[/editline] IE: It's a bitch to lose parts or the entire grenade if you spend 50 bucks on it and need to pick it up afterward.
I suggest tornado grenades one of my friends has a couple. It's cheap and hits anything within 70 feet
I suggest tornado grenades one of my friends has a couple. The suck outdoors as they dont jump and spin on dirt, and the fuse is very sensitive to temperature. and to Wordsworth: Thats why I love those dried pea grenades they have in Britian, one of the National Gaurdsmen I play with managed to get about 40 into the states (Not easy to do apparently) and I bought three of them for 7 bucks each at the last OP I went to. Its so nice to be able to throw a grenade and not have to worry about retriving it. They are pretty effective too, the dried peas go everywhere, and they are hella loud, not to mention biodegradable.
I don't understand the idea behind biodegradable. Everything is biodegradable. Every, single, thing, Given enough time will turn to dust. Thus everything ever created and to be created is biodegradable.
I don't understand the idea behind biodegradable. Everything is biodegradable. Every, single, thing, Given enough time will turn to dust. Dried peas and cardboard will biodegrade within a year.
Why not try one of these? It could probly work.
My friend made one of those, they work really good.
My friend made one of those, they work really good.
Most fields dont allow homemade stuff, but that seems pretty safe. The only thing I dont like it the potential for a copper pipe flying out at high velocity accidentally.
The thing is, most of the (actually all) of the "flashbang" replacements that have been posted are just "Bangs" no flash. Very good view of one being used at about 0:39
Bwahaha! What the camera guy said at 4:00 when he was looking at the dude staring down the hall with the M249. That was a good video.
