I need help with a decent build around 700. Current hilarious computer specs inside.

All I would really be doing is playing League (and others if it could handle them), watching videos locally and browsing the web.

700 what?
$
If you can afford it, it would really be worth upgrading your budget to about $900.

That's skimping on the processor, case and power supply a bit...

$900 would get you an i5, a modular PSU and a solid case.
Bump.

I think I covered all of the basics and the total comes out to a total of $664 with free shipping and with tax it will come out to 700$.
Can someone check my build to see if it is good?

I'd go with this one, shouldn't really bother with intel unless you are getting a i5.

The optical drive link is invalid, but thank you very much, I gotta get them sequentially but I'll make sure to use the sale on the PSU
[editline]21st June 2011[/editline]
Oh and everything specified will fit with the mobo right?

Yes, without a problem.
Ugh, I realized I need an OS too.
Is it possible to get more than one install off of one W7 serial?
Or would I be able to use my current harddrive in the new build to get around that?

It came with the computer.
I don't have CDs for it.
the PC should have a serial on it, just download a win 7 iso
I have the serial, is there an official MS place to get that?
Wouldn't it be warez?
it would be warez if you cracked it and didn't use a legit key
You pay for the serial.
You can torrent the DVD, but sometimes you find the cracked ones.
So download from MS site. They have the iso somewhere over there.
How big is the .iso itself?
iso is 3.2gb
10gb installed
I would delete everything except for the Win7 OS off the HDD you already had and then install both HDD's in your new computer. Just make sure you turn on your computer with HDD with the OS on it
Ugh, I have no CD's that can hold that much.
And to mrpatel, would I need to configure anything in the BIOS?
get a dvd lol
more money out of my pocket
[editline]21st June 2011[/editline]
Does it make me stupid if I want to ask if I can install it from a Flashdrive?
it will be incredibly slow..
It will be that much sweeter when I get it running.
So glad I'm finally getting around to this, I just ordered the PSU.
It's been a long time since I've dealt with DVD's; I've got a buddy that could probably hook me up with a DVD for the iso, what is a generic brand name and type of CD/DVD that would be large enough to hold it?
you would need at least 20 gigs just for the OS and it would all need to be on one Disc/Flash drive.Just go check your local electronics store before all of the parts come to your house.

No
The .iso isn't 20 gigs.
I just need the name of a cd/dvd that can hold that or more easily.
A 4.7gig/DVD disk will do fine, you can get a pack of a few for 5-10$ at walmart
Should've gotten the HAF 912 with the 650w PSU for $15 off.
Anyways, fit this 6870 into there, for just 20$ more you get much more performance: [url]http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102948&cm_re=6870-_-14-102-948-_-Product[/url]

Yah I looked for Case/PSU combos and didn't find any good one but i would go with this
Also, it would be more like 30$ more expensive because of shipping Plus the one I picked has a 30$ mail-in-rebate card
