It is a HP Pavilion 6047cl. I am having two main problems thay I can't seem to resolve. Hopefully FP will prevail! :D 1)The built in mic on the laptop(the ONLY one I have) suddenly stopped working for some reason. It is enabled, but the troubleshooter says it works fine. In reality it isn't. 2)I keep getting a popup that says "Catalyst Control Center - Host application has stopped working" and now I can't change between the High Performance GFX card or the built in one by myself. I used to be able to right click on the desktop and click "Configure Switchable Graphics" and change between the two from there. But now everytime I try, I get the popup. I have tried updating the drivers but that didn't work. I am trying to get help from HP, but the support guy isn't much help and is very, very slow at responding. I don't even think that he knows what he is doing. I think he is just searching things up in the database and copy-pasting me whatever he finds. [editline]7th November 2011[/editline] Well I did a factory reset. It fixed the popup but the mic still does not work.
Open up the Sound screen and set the mic as standard device or always use this device (dont know whats it called in english windows.) Also check the HP site for updated sound drivers.
