Wish they would add this to the game in a update rather than DLC, the game would benefit allot from new units and maps..
Seems more like an expansion pack rather than ordinary DLC.
Should I buy this game? I've seen a few videos of it and it looks really cool

Not really, it's just adding stuff that was asked for since the game launched..

Now the askers can get it for 10€ v:downs:v
Instead of releasing stuff for SupCom2, make SupCom3 in the style of SupCom1.

Wouldn't even need this if they didn't almost entirely remove the mod support.

Or just go back to updating SupCom1.

Yes. Pretty awesome RTS with a bit of depth to it.
People who say this is stuff that's been asked for since day one, don't be stupid. The only thing that was asked for was more maps, which was patched in a couple of patches ago (6-8 or so "preorder" maps were added in a patch for everyone, most of which never played because no one preordered the game).
These 8 fully unique maps that look much more awesome plus include a bevy of new units, which wasn't something that was really asked for unless you count the people who were crying over the fact that they wanted 3 different tanks that all did the same thing like in SupCom1. Or the vocal minority that wanted SupCom2 to be a direct port of SupCom1.
I don't get why people hate on the game so much. It's very good and I'm enjoying it about as much as I enjoyed SupCom1. This addon pack will really bring life to the game. It adds a pretty large amount of stuff for a rather cheap price, and stuff that will really add to the dynamics of the game.

Mod support was useless in SupCom1 anyways unless all you did was play skirmishes because it was next to impossible to get a game going online with mods. I don't know about you but I almost never played with mods since online play is where it's at. I did play a little bit with a mod called The 4th Demension which changed a ton of stuff but again, it only worked in skirmish play since no one plays with mods online. So that didn't last long. Modding support is nice, but you can see why they didn't bother spending a lot of resources putting it in when you consider the above. Online, RTS games with a niche community are hard to benefit from a modding community.
It's nice but not required, and again an issue that is constantly brought up from a vocal minority. Mods are always nice to have and it would have been cool to have them in SupCom2 but I never saw them benefitting a game like SupCom1 very much. The community is too small and the gameplay works best when you play online.
The only exception to this was the Phantom mod which was an awesome new game mode that someone modded in, and I kinda wished that they had implemented it in SupCom2.

You don't even own SupCom2, why is your opinion valid?
