I mean if you want to I guess
don't know anyone who would
Only use I see if you pirate it, played it, bought the game and want to play that one cool mission and that's it
I mean, World At War did this with its co-op mode technically. But a weird ass decision to make, probably did it so you can play with any and all players in co-op no matter when you get the game so you don't have to complete it solo or in local split-screen first before hoping to co-op it.
This is about as dumb as saying all difficulty options are unlocked by default.
Remember when video games force you to play the entire game from start to finish and only after that you can replay the other missions?
Where's the fun in that when you suddenly have all the chapters in the game unlocked for you. Maybe they should have done a secret password code to unlock all the chapters immediately instead of having all the chapter unlocked from the start. This is single player we're talking about.
I never really skip anything but I can see why people would skip areas because reasons like boring/buggy or etc. And also I know several people who want to know the end first and then the rest second.
I can see the reason for this, if you want to join a few friends in coop who are late in the game.
Though I don't see why you wouldn't just play the coop campaign from the beginning with them, I can still kinda see the reason.

Exactly. So how does the way one person chooses to play their campaign affect anyone else? Is having all the missions unlocked really going to ruin the fun of playing through the campaign in order if that's how you were going to play it anyway?
I remember renting an N64 with Goldeneye, and all of the missions were unlocked by others who had rented that console. It was great. I had difficulty in one of the missions and just couldn't get through it, so I skipped onto the next one and came back to finish it off later. Otherwise I would have just stopped playing altogether.
I also hate having options open to me.

Exactly, how is this going to impact any of you who prefer to do it the normal way. More options means more fun for everyone. You might aswell scrap FOV because most people will do fine with it stuck at 90, or get rid of colourblind mode because most of us can see good.

Sooo... not at all?
Bonus difficulty levels are only fun in games with actual New Game+ content, where the higher difficulty compensates for the extra power granted to the player.
"i hate when games force me to play their way! honestly EA/Ubisoft you need to understand that gamers are receptive and responsible enough to play a game their own way!"
"wow what a stupid extra option to have, why are they giving me these options???"
