I literally cannot wait to get home to play this I haven't been this excited about a City-Building game since SimCity 2013 (which unfortunately turned out to be a massive failure) This game is like everything SimCity 2013 SHOULD have been but WASN'T One of the biggest things that made me more confident in this game was the fact that the developers handed out early copies like candy to popular YouTubers/Streamers and allowed them to show it off to everyone which tells me that the developers are VERY confident in their game and that they stand by it all the way. That and their consistent response to the community on sites like Reddit etc really brought up my confidence in this game even further.

So yea, LGR just got me to buy the game.
now i want this game so badly
Ahhhh just got my review key from Paradox. Hyped as fuck.
The download size is only around 3GB, that's really nice
I'm honestly shocked that was made in Unity. Not that it's a bad engine but I didn't really know it could handle worlds that size.

Like it's sometimes fullbright. You can knock a lot of things in SimCity, and I do, but it looked really damn nice.

The models in Cities are most likely downscaled. Look at Rust, it has quite damn big maps. The thing with Unity is that out of the box it's quite barebones. It's up to the dev to either buy frameworks or make it themselves to truly make their game shine. Unity can do a lot, it's just not ready for that when you create a blank project.

So I've been playing this for the past hour and a half, and its amazing. Its definitely the spiritual successor to Simcity 4 I feel thus far. And yes, LGR got me to buy this.
I wish more of the screen space was used for info. I wish there was a nice looking way to display much more info about the city. Pretend I'm really running the city and I have an iphone/ipad constantly updating with info about the city, but whatever that would be in game.
