At least he still has his chicken.
I can see why they cut him out of an actual role, but I think he would've made for a fun little background cameo chasing after a chicken for a second or something.
R.I.P Leeroy I hope they still put him in somewhere. Maybe in a sign somewhere, or something like a wanted poster.

They really should have kept this scene, it's simple, it's a great reference to the source material and adds a ton of character to the movie.
