I can see why they cut him out of an actual role, but I think he would've made for a fun little background cameo chasing after a chicken for a second or something.

They really should have kept this scene, it's simple, it's a great reference to the source material and adds a ton of character to the movie.

yeah but at the same time i think it would've been subtle enough to just be a scene for people who don't know the reference. it's not like he then turned to the camera like was jim from the office and said 'at least i have chicken'.

i dunno, the legend of Leeroy Jenkins has extended pretty far outward from it's video game roots. On Cake is a Lie level.
