You'd only need to play one Royal Blood song to have played them all.
The more I hear about this game the more I feel it's not for me. The soundtrack seems really poppy so far, the Mastodon song is the first song that I don't hate in the game so far.
Of mice and men? Yep you sold me.
If Activision wants Guitar Hero Live to top Rock Band 4, they would consider a PC version because mods.

i'd imagine their logic for not releasing a pc version would be modding songs would cut into dlc sales. because why buy a song when you can mod it in for free
but i don't know how much money they make on the game vs dlc so whatever
They did pc for world tour, gh3 and Aerosmith so I' don't see why not.

Did the PC versions even sell well, though?
If it were to release digitally, you would still need the new guitar and a wireless dongle to play it on the PC. If it was physical, making a massive $100+ package for a version that won't sell nearly as well is a bit silly.

Rocksmith 2014 supports custom DLC on all platforms; when a song that already exists as cdlc comes out officially, the main cdlc repository site removes/blocks/whatever the cdlc version and instead links to the official store page. This doesn't stop anyone from finding the link in some other way or copying the file from someone else, but Ubi must be making enough money off the DLC to not give a shit about the few people who go hugely out of their way just to play a song for free. A PC version of the new music games would be superfun (i, for example, don't have a console but want to play GH at parties) and judging by RS's model totally plausible.
Rock Band 4 is going to be a million times better than Guitar Hero Live. Guitar Hero Live went completely backwards in terms of gameplay

Isn't it exactly the same game with 1 more button though?

It's also worth mentioning that 95% of most Rocksmith Custom DLC is pretty damn poor by the official DLC's standards.
I'm really excited for GH:L though, say what you want about the set list itself but I think along side the 'Live videos' each song could really come into its own, at least more-so than what the background looked like before.
