Listening now gonna be a while.
Same. He deliberately avoids saying anything about half life but that's completely understandable.

William sounds like Michael Cera.
"You're trying to ask me about Half Life 3 aren't you?"
heh, Gabe's ringtone is the Ariel Faith Plate song
Good so far, long though.
They have to be making something big for half-life since he avoids talking about it.
heh, Gabe's ringtone is the Ariel Faith Plate song
Probably a way to lose weight since it always reminds you how you exceeded the maximum weight-bearing capacity of that one plate
"Got a lot of food on your plate" I wonder if he knew how that looked from a different perspective.
I love listening to interviews with Gabe. I'm a little tired of hearing about "entertainment as a service" though.
Gabe Newell is probably the only person I can like as a businessman. Valve is so uncompetitive and supportive of other people's good ideas, but they're still kicking ass and making a shitload of money.

It's the whole "win their hearts and minds mentality". While I truly believe that everyone at Valve is genuine about their incredible desire to please the gaming community, other corporations can only fake it. That's the major difference. While core developers of a game may be truly putting their hearts in it, their corporate heads, CEOs, managers, etc. are more than likely not. With Gabe, he is really putting it all our there, about what he believes about the games his company makes, and so much more. Also, call me a Valvefag if you want, but what they're doing is just plain good business.
