OWS protester busted for allegedly threatening to hurl Molotov cocktails at Macy's 7:50 PM, November 16, 2011 Last Updated: 7:38 AM, November 17, 2011
New York Post
[release]Cops this evening (Wednesday) arrested an Occupy Wall Street protester for allegedly threatening to throw Molotov cocktails at Macy’s tomorrow during the group’s city-wide demonstration.
“On the 17th, we going to burn New York City to the f-cking ground,” Nkrumah Tinsley, 29, shouted Tuesday amongst a crowd of his fellow demonstrators, cops said.

Tinsley was also quoted making a similar quote in today’s Metro newspaper.
“In a few days they’re going to see what a Molotov cocktail can do to Macy’s,” Tinsley also allegedly vowed, according to a video posted on YouTube.
“They got guns! We got bottles!”
Tinsley was arrested around 5 p.m. at Zuccotti Park.
As he was hauled away, Tinsley repeatedly shouted profanities, including "F--k you guys!" at least 10 times.
About 10 of his fellow demonstrators followed him and started jeering at the officers.
“You do not serve and protect us anymore,” said Kanaska Carter,26. "They’re slowing trying to deteriorate the movement, but it’s not going to happen,” she said referring to the NYPD.
Police spokesman Paul Browne said the NYPD became concerned after seeing the video and reading the newspaper article because of the detailed nature of the threats.
“There was specificity as to the date, location and method of firebombing,” Browne said, adding that Tinsley also mentioned attacking the New York Stock Exchange.
“That level of specificity and that level of anger raised concern for both us and the Fire Department.
“This is an individual we are concerned about and we wanted to make sure we apprehended him before tomorrow,” Browne said.
Tinsley was charged with making a terroristic threat. Cops tonight were executing a search warrant at a Bronx home on University Avenue.
It’s not his first run-in with cops since the OWS protests began.
He was arrested on Oct. 26 for allegedly punching a cop who was trying to issue him a summons for disorderly conduct during a protest.
He was charged with assault.[/release]

inb4 comment about glaber
That's pretty harsh, what on earth has Macy's done to the OWS protesters.
Violent shit like that is going to make things very, very bad.
Who would want to molotov macy's. I fucking love macy's.
Stupid me I forgot to see the 2nd to last line.
OWS should start banning people like this
He didn't attack anyone physically. Why charge for assault?
He was charged with assault on Oct. 26th for punching a cop.
Now, he is charged for making a threat. That's called threatening/menacing and it is indeed against the law.

Assault on the Policemen's feelings.
Did you even read the article?
He made a threat, a very specific threat.
Wow all these isolated incidents Glaber is posting are showing me the truth! OWS is a bunch of violent, immature anti-American hooligans out to ruin the beautiful system.
Anyways.
Lolo, he was charged for assault for allegedly assaulting a cop trying to issue him a summons.
I hope these mindless extremists congregate in a different movement so their irrationality doesn't get stamped over OWS.
It's about time. These pigs have been brutal.

First off, calling the police the pigs makes you sound like an idiot teenager waving a flag with an anarchy symbol on it, and second off, behaving violently is going to lead to a lot of people getting hurt bad. Violence should be a last resort.

Oh look, Glaber's posting OWS smears again.
Oh look, Glaber's posting OWS smears again.
So a news site reporting on someone getting arrested for doing something illegal is a smear campaign? Would you prefer the media only reported one side?
this is what the cops should be doing, targeting the violent INDIVIDUALS not pepper spraying everyone they see. not gonna defend some asshole who wants to ruin a nonviolent protest.
I have gotten some nice shirts from Macy's.
Leave them the fuck alone.

saying someone sounds like an idiot teenager waving a flag with an anarchy symbol on it makes you sound like a grumpy old coot. they ARE pigs.

And I'm assuming your indefinite knowledge and familiarity on US policemen is accurate. No? People are apparently pigs for doing their job. Its good that they target the violent individuals though.
Oh look, Glaber's posting OWS smears again.
Hey Glaber, how about you stop trying to make Occupy Wall Street look bad you Commie scum
Obviously an idiot, not part of the peaceful protest. Ofcourse media will try to change it into something dramatic.
im sorry whats macys?

please don't use the "they're just doing their jobs" argument
not all cops are bad, but being paid to do something fucking horrible doesn't excuse you from judgement
in regards to the video: this guy is a fucking moron
unsurprisingly, his overexcited cries for a firebombing of macy's drew no applause, but glaber's "Glance at Headline, Post Thread" mode is in full force now, there's no stopping him from continuing to try smearing #OWS thanks to the actions of individuals

I wouldn't think of it as trying to smear the OWS. I look at it as some individual trying to get a rise out of something, and then failing terribly. Atleast thats how I look at it. But yeah, some media networks will try to blow this out of proportion.
I'm getting tired of people instantly attacking the OP of news threads they disagree with. Glaber clearly has a political motive for posting these threads, yes that is true, but he's hardly the first facepuncher to use SN as his own personal soap box.
If you want to pull the "smear campaign" card, direct your complaints at the journalists, not someone sharing the news article on an Internet forum.

the reason nobody likes Glaber is because he posts sensationalist exaggerated horse-shit from FOX news that is easily disproved just by mulling over the "evidence" the article presents
if Glaber wants to present a republican viewpoint that's awesome, i can't stand when i see liberal bias being accepted here, but when he just comes in here headstrong with misinformation and sometimes blatant lies, he isn't doing much in the way of fair reporting
And I'm assuming your indefinite knowledge and familiarity on US policemen is accurate. No? People are apparently pigs for doing their job. Its good that they target the violent individuals though.
i meant cops in general (we have them here in nz too!) and uh, why does the fact that it's a job change anything? i wouldn't call them pigs if they targeted the violent individuals in their own ranks

well yeah, if someone watched the video by itself there would be no smear, it's mostly the wording and presentation of the OP's article that takes advantage of this one guy being a douche and completely ignores the fact that nobody else was supporting him in his endeavors so they can smear #OWS
To say that 100% of the people who are actually in support and actively involved in Occupy Wall Street are all intelligent, educated people would be stupid.
There's always going to be a few winners but always a whole lot of dumb motherfuckers. It's just like humanity as a whole. Of course there are idiots out there who are trying to discredit the protests because [del]we all know liberals infiltrated the Tea Party protests a thousand times over.[/del] Oh wait no they didn't.
Honestly I don't understand the conservative spin on OWS, apparently they're all a bunch of jobless hippies looking for a free handout yet some conservatives obviously feel that they're some kind of threat to the conservative Utopian 1950’s sitcom version of America that will never exist. So they have to infiltrate the occupy protests and discredit them by throwing shit at police and giving out bongs.
But whatever, Tea Party protesters can carry guns to their protests but if one OWS protester mentions throwing a molotov cocktail they're a fucking menace.
The fact that there's any resistance at all to OWS demonstrates that the opposition knows there's a chance they might actually win.
But I'm just a brainwashed idiot liberal so what do I know.

The ones we are calling pigs are fucking pigs. You don't beat down a peaceful protester until his blood is smeared on the street. You don't pepper spray a bunch of university students protesting an unjust 9% raise in tuition. You don't shoot rubber bullets that could permanently disable or even kill someone when they are unarmed.
Why do these OWS threads always go from "Good job Protestors" to "I wish these protests would end"
Feels kinda hypocritical.
"You do not serve and protect us anymore,”
He dragged away a guy who threatened to burn the city down, how is that not serving and protecting?
Occupy Wallstreet:
33% communists
33% fascists
33% anarchists
1% good right thinking Americans.
