God bless Japan for doing all the crazy cool shit no other country will spend money on.
God bless Japan for doing all the crazy cool shit no other country will spend money on.

Flying cars are something of a flavour-of-the-month at present, with firms from the US, Germany, Netherlands, China and Japan looking to turn science fiction into reality
There are a lot of experiments as of late where people take a drone and try to upscale it to carry people, this is actually one of the more lame ones. It flies only 10m up in the air and can only do 100km/h.
IT'S HAPPENING BOYS IT'S FINALLY GODDAMN HAPPENING
I wouldn't trust the average person with flying a kite, never mind flying a car.
good fucking luck, bois I always found flying cars to be one of the most impractical aspects of sci fic

The way I see it, a flying car doesn't need to break the sound barrier or fly at the same altitude as an airliner. This kind of thing is like something out of a Greek myth, a personal sky chariot, even if it isn't the finest sky chariot that could ever exist.
This kind of thing is like something out of a Greek myth, a personal sky chariot, even if it isn't the finest sky chariot that could ever exist.
And hopefully it doesn't end up like it did for Phaethon!
And hopefully it doesn't end up like it did for Phaethon!
Well, that's just because Helios just gave his son the keys to the sun chariot, rather than teach him how to actually control the horses like a good father would have. But of course, he didn't, and Zeus had to shoot the bloody thing down to save the world from thermonuclear annihilation. And that, gentlemen, is why you don't just give your wayward son the keys to your fusion-powered sky chariot.
This kind of thing is like something out of a Greek myth, a personal sky chariot, even if it isn't the finest sky chariot that could ever exist.
That's a very poetic way to describe a Cessna 150.
i don't see this ever being a thing in the near future
i don't see this ever being a thing in the near future
To be fair, neither did some people who rode horses when the first automobile came out.
Seems Toyota has changed their mind
To be fair, neither did some people who rode horses when the first automobile came out.
A car is much faster and more efficient than a horse. A flying car is just a danger. People are already crap at driving and people want to allow the public to personal flight? That's not going to end poorly.
To be fair, neither did some people who rode horses when the first automobile came out.
this is different. completely different.
