A man who escaped a car crash after his vehicle came off the road at a sharp bend has been killed by his wife who crashed at the exact same spot as she was rushing to his rescue.
The 54-year-old man had been driving with his 16-year-old daughter until he hit a sharp bend in the road near Carville, a town in Northern France, the French newspaper Ouest-France reported. The family has not been named.
That's some damn shitty luck...
Not sure why but after reading title it reminded me of GTA Ambulances.
I worked with a guy who got into a accident, got out of his car to check on the women he was in a accident with and then was hit himself. Guy suffered brain and muscle damage. He didn't speak right and walked stiff like Frankenstein. Bloody hell sad
Imagine being the wife in this situation. Rushing to save someone only to be the reason for their death must be such a horrible thing to hang over you.
Cruel irony.
Sounds to me like she wanted him dead.

...or it's just a dangerous bend in the road
I know it's purely coincidental since 'car' doesn't mean car in French, but damn, that village should reconsider its name..
Unless the car is in imminent danger of exploding into flames, you should never exit the vehicle if in a wreck. It's the quickest way to get dead from someone else crashing into you because they couldn't stop in time or weren't paying attention.

Women drivers, man.

Ideally you should make your wrecked vehicle as visible as possible for the safety of other drivers and to mark your location for emergency services.
I carry flares and cones for that very reason, in case my car's blinkers and lights fail and it's pitch black outside.
