Elon Musk is a South African engineer, CEO, and founder of a multitude of companies. After dropping out of the Stanford Grad program, he started "Zip2" with his brother, which was eventually bought for $307 million from Compaq. After that he began "www.x.com" which turned into PayPal, which again eBay bought for $1.5 billion in stock. -- Soon after, he began work on SpaceX. The goal from the beginning of SpaceX, is to make life interplanetary. Elon Musk has said that NASA has made a considerable step backwards from interplanetary adventure. Since that's so, he's created SpaceX to do just that, and more. They've created the Falcon 1, and Falcon 9 rockets, planned to carry the Dragon probe into space. -- He then began work on Tesla Motors. Tesla Motors is the first successful consumer electric car company, with cars that actually look nice. They've since created the Telsa Roadster and Roadster Sport And recently announced the Tesla Model S, set to launch in 2012. -- Elon is an admirable uber entrepreneur, ace-ing all the subjects he involves himself in. --Some of the best interviews: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1j0yHOxcL0&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0qlcUW67UI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Onajosm9PWo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwT3Y0lkYaQ&feature=related How does he do it? :iiam:

It seems like some people who drop out of college end up doing bad ass shit.
It seems like some people who drop out of college end up doing bad ass shit.
Yup. And the keyword is some.
That roadster looks terrible.
Most people that drop out of college do badass shit, just only some of them make money from it.
That roadster looks terrible.
It's a lot cooler in real life. It's like a hybrid between a Lotus Elise and a Ferrari.
My dad and I went to one of the showrooms that Tesla has dotted around California. Their cars do, indeed, look like proper cars, and while the interior's a bit small, if they ever mass-produce them they'll be hits for sure.
Hopefully through government funding and all that they'll be able to mass-produce them, and bring the price down, making them hopefully used more.
They're 100k sports cars, not the daily ride to work car.
What a fucking awesome guy
That Coupe looks like a 4 door Jag.
A car that looks decent and is good for the environment what is this blasphemy
Front grille of the model S looks like an Aston. Not that I'm complaining!
Damn those cars do look nice.
My dad's got a Tesla and it is freaking amazing. More cars should be electric, might even try to convert a Mustang to electric when I'm older.
My dad's got a Tesla and it is freaking amazing. More cars should be electric, might even try to convert a Mustang to electric when I'm older.
..A mustang without the V8 grunt isn't a mustang :colbert:
Well what a smart/lucky man
Richard Branson's illegitimate child.

Elon Musk. I won't lie; I came in here thinking this would be about some species of moose and its piss.
This guy seemingly knows what he's doing. I'd love to work for him.
Elon Musk. I won't lie; I came in here thinking this would be about some species of moose and its piss.
Lol. I thought it was a cologne.
:godwin: that guy is epic
Lol. I thought it was a cologne.
I can see what you mean. I wouldn't be surprised if the next thing he does is an interstellar electric cologne company.
It would only take them 3 years to fulfill all the preorders for "Mars Beauty" and "Neptune's Bounty" colognes. BUT WHAT ABOUT EARTH COLOGNES
He looks like my old math teacher
Elon Musk. I won't lie; I came in here thinking this would be about some species of moose and its piss.
I came in here expecting someone to be complaining about their room mate's smell or something.
What a badass
