Hello everybody, I plan on buying a motorcycle, I have looked around online to find my answer and I couldn't find shit, so I though, maybe facepunch would know. So here I am now mashing my keyboard again to ask facepunch yet another question! Approximately how much would motorcycle insurance be for a 17 year old white male?
Thanks in advance!

That doesn't give me any approximation on insurance though.
right hand side
"get an online quote!"
You could be anywhere from like <$300/year up to over $1000 depending on the bike. You can't generalize that.
geico is cheap.

not when I did a quote
geico was a rip off while progressive was much cheaper

How much do you pay?
You can pay for JUST liability. Which is about 75 dollars a year.

I don't have a motorcycle, but I did do a quote for a ninja 250 just to get an idea of how much it'd cost
I think decent full coverage was around $100/mo while really basic coverage was more like $50-90 a month
it really depends on how old you are, your credit score, where you live, what bike you have, what coverage you want, etc. . the only way to get an accurate idea of what you'd pay is to do the quote there online or call them.
Depending on your age, experience, and bike you buy will be all the difference.
Jdk, you cannot get an online quote, they lie to you. You have to call them, it's bullshit, I know.
McNinja, chances are he can't just get liability. And $75 is way too cheap. Maybe if he was 50, and had 30 years of experience and rode a classic harley.
I'm gonna guess you will have to pay about $1000-$1500 a year.
i was quoted 125 a month for a 2010 er-6n, or if it was paid off for 25 a month liability. clean record 28yr old male.
1000 a year is ~84 a month.
1500 a year is 125 a month.
seems right for full insurance.
but my 600 shadow is in my grandfathers name and is 150 a year. geico

Yea that sounds about right, the key to this is to title it in your dad or someone who is older's name. That way it is dirt cheap. Or else it's really expensive.

Me buying insurance from them. Go fill out all the crap, and it'll tell you to call them. Unless they changed it between 3 months ago and now.
Quikkill. I literally pay 75 dollars a year with gieco for state minimum coverage. All I have the liability. I am 21 years old and this is my first motorcycle. All I had was my permit at the time. Not even my M class License.

why was I able to get a quote online then?

why would you have such low coverage?
Because I've accepted that if I total my bike then it's my fault and I can just buy another cheap sports bike like the one I have. When I get a nicer bike I'll absolutely get better insurance. But right now it serves me better to save money to get a better bike rather than paying out the ass for insurance. Also I live in a cold part of PA where about half the year it's only in the 40s or below. So it doesn't make sense for me to pay a ton when I can't use the bike.
But my point is that you CAN get cheap insurance. It's just how little coverage you're willing to go with.
