I am going to buy a new PC, with a max budget of ~1600€.
I'm going to buy one on a Belgian site, where you choose the parts you want and they assemble it for you (much like Alienware).
Now, the problem I have is that I'm not quite sure which "model" to pick.
There are two models I'm very interested in:
Model 1 (price: 1559€)
Case: NZXT H2 White
Mobo: ASUS P7P89 Pro
Processor: Intel Core i7 2600K
RAM: Corsair XMS 2 x 4GB
GFX: ASUS enGTX580 DCII
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
PSU: NZXT Hale90 650W 80+ Modular
HDD: WD 2TB Caviar Black
SDD: OCZ AGT3-25SAT3-60G
Main problems I have here is that I'm not quite sure if it'll all fit in the case and how hot it'll get.
Model 2 (price: 1475€)
Case: Coolermaster CM 690 II nVidia Edition
Mobo: MSI P67a-C43 S1155
Processor: Intel Core i7 2600K
RAM: Corsair XMS 2 x 4GB
GFX: ASUS enGTX580 DCII
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
PSU: CORSAIR GS800 800W Gaming Series PSU or CORSAIR TX750 ?
HDD: WD 2TB Caviar Black
SDD: OCZ AGT3-25SAT3-60G
The problem I have here is that I'd rather have the P7P89 Pro as motherboard (this one doesn't have SLI support), but unfortunately the motherboard is chosen together with the case.
Also, the nVidia logo on the CM 690 is ugly IMO.
As you can see, there isn't much difference, the only thing that differs is the case (and the motherboard). Any opinions on which one I should choose?
You really should build your own, you're overpaying 30% for those machines.
Although, the bottom one is better except the motherboard has only one Pci-e meaning your upgrade path is slim, and the P7P89 Pro doesn't exist, do you mean P8P67?
Either way, build your own.

I know I'm overpaying, but I don't really care because I want to go through the hassle of building my own PC. Also I meant the P8P67 Pro, yes.
Edit: The reason why it's overpriced is because I want to buy it in my own country instead of US or something. The prices for the parts are actually about the cheapest you can get here.
There is absolutely NO hassle in building your own. My first took me maybe an hour or 2 and it was actually quite fun. If you have time to browse Facepunch, you have time to build a computer.
The bottom one is still better, the P8P67 pro would lead to a better upgrade path seeing as it supports x8/x8 but the power supply won't support two 580's regardless.
And building your own computer is no hassle at all, in-fact it's incredibly fun, easy, satisfying and much cheaper, there isn't a single con. Plus chances are you'll get it sooner too seeing as companies tend to take a couple weeks to process a system.
Do it!

To be honest, i was told by almost everyone i know to not build a computer, and that i didn't know what i was doing, i sure showed them, my $1700 rig is up and running, oh, and i mainly built it to learn. Believe me, building a computer is not so much a hassle or chore, i see it as playing with expensive lego. as long as you don't touch the back of the Mobo or Graphics card, building it is worth it.

They're not as fragile as you'd think, I've dropped plenty of motherboards and graphics cards and even got jam on a GPU's contacts yet it still worked fine.
Okay, so if I'd make it myself, I can just put the P8P67 Pro in the lower case anyway, right? Now, which PSU would you recommend me (and are the other parts okay or would you recommend something different)?
Depends on the budget, I don't know any Belgium computer component sellers so I can't make a quick build for you, but something like this would be good:
Case: Coolermaster CM 690 II, HAF 932, Fractal design R3, Fractal design XL
Mobo: P8P67 Pro
Processor: Intel Core i5 2500k (i7 2600k not needed for just games)
RAM: Corsair XMS3 DDR3 2 x 2GB (8gb not needed for just games)
GFX: GTX 570 (580 isn't necessary and will lead to a harder upgrade path)
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
PSU: 750w XFX Core or CORSAIR TX750V2
HDD: 2x F3 1TB
SDD: Depends on budget, 60gb agility 3 would do nicely

I will also be using this PC for photo editing and video editing (and maybe more), would it be better to buy 8GB in that case?
Yes it would, don't get overpriced RAM though you'll be paying for brand, 1333mhz is fine too.
Thanks man, I'm probably going to go for what you said (except with i7-2600K and 8GB RAM) and the Fractal Design R3 and it's going to cost me 1300€. That's 300€ saved!
No, i5 2500k, You do not need an i7!
Repeat, you do not need an i7 unless you do heavy, HEAVY video editing.
1300 euro's still seems like you're over paying a bit, the exact same build with SSD and 2600k in the UK costs £1,000 without OS, I thought it would cost more in eastern europe but not 30% more.
With the i5-2500K, it comes down to €1200, £1000 is about €1150, so I think it should be fine, right?
I suppose.
Would it be better to buy the Fractal R3 or the CM 690 II Advanced? I'm still not sure.
they're fairly different cases
the R3 would be quieter but with less airflow, it's still a perfectly usable case though
really it's up to you, just look at the two cases and consider how quiet you want your computer to be
I like the R3 better, but I heard that it tends to get hot because of the limited airflow, and I want to be sure everything stays cool.
some temps might be a few degrees higher but it's not enough to make stuff suddenly overheat unless it would be anyway
Okay, so I'm almost ready to buy everything tomorrow, just one mroe thing: I decided to buy a 120GB SSD because 60GB will most likely be a little too small: should I get the OCZ Vertex 3 or the Intel 510?
vertex 3 or agility 3
