Hi there Facepunch.
I'm here today to ask your advice on HD movie playing software. I have a High-End Panasonic Camcorder and i save all my movies onto the computer.
Yes windows movie player can play the MTS files, but i just don't like it, also it doesn't allow you to go frame by frame. So is there any free software out there that could cut it?
Also i would like something that could play MP4's, Quicktime is terrible, i get lines on some videos, and on others its just distorted to high-heaven..
Thanks, Wickerman
k-lite codecs + mphc

vlc is also pretty good too, a bit heavier than mphc and the internal codec's aren't as good but it'll do the job.
Thank you for your help :)
VLC
KMPlayer is also nice
Hmmm VLC isn't working very well... it stutters occasionally and sometimes the image goes all distorted, like a scratched dvd.. :saddowns:

What's your system specs? Single-core's and low end dual cores struggle a lot to play HD content.
Media Player Classic with k-lite codec pack.
It feels like there's nothing that can't be played on that.

That's either a bad video or your computer.
