19 years old and going to Edinburgh with my school at the end of september for four days. Free to do what ever we want from late afternoon 'till next morning every day.
Anyone on Facepunch who lives in Edinburgh/been there before and knows what to spend all that time on? Anything except overpriced clubs and bars, which sadly is where most of my classmates will go.
Edinburgh Castle?
I've heard the 'ghost walks' are pretty cool
Edinburgh Castle is not bad, the galleries are pretty neat too. You can go uptown and buy some souvenirs and such.
Pretty much everything that their is to do in Edinburgh is touristy and quite expensive. The Castle, the Gallery, The Museum and the Zoo are all really good days out.
You could always buy me and the rest of the Facepunch Edinburgh Uni guys a drink. You should have come this month instead for the Fringe, I don't know much else that you can do outside of that.

I'm Danish and I have a beard. If we meet I'll gladly buy you a drink.
Anyway thanks for the suggestions. I'm just hoping to avoid all the super-touristy places since they tend to be full of boring people. Too bad we didn't go during Fringe, it seems interesting.
