• Splinter Cell Conviction - After a few minutes of playing the game, odd rendering glitches
    5 replies, posted
Hello. I recently bought Splinter Cell: Conviction for the PC. I installed it, and when I play it, on the first mission, it runs fine for a few minutes. At various points (it varies each time I try), different things will happen. Sometimes no models or textures will render, leaving just a marker for where I have to go on the screen (I can still move), or only rendering the skybox. Can anyone help? I'm running it on Vista 32bit if that helps.
Post temps after it happens, while you're playing, and idle, and update your drivers.
Changing the resolution fixes it but I have to do it every 10 minutes or so.
Post temperature when it happens like said before

Sounds like the graphics card memory corrupting, as changing the display resoloution will re-create the DirectX device and re-load everything into the graphics memory. Sounds like overheating, i had somewhat same when my old card overheated (except for that 1 hour later i fried the whole memory component)
