• Get your PS4 games from Amazon and have them delivered straight to your console
Sony has introduced a new initiative for stores to sell digital download copies of PS4, PS3 and PlayStation Vita games, and the DLC updates and packs so that you can buy them from places other than the PlayStation Network. Instead of having to log onto your console, to purchase a game, you can shop online with partnering retailers, buy your game and have it delivered straight to your console when you get home. Amazon is one of the first to join the scheme, with the US Amazon.com site launching its PlayStation Network portal. It is offering a wide selection of games including Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, all for the PS3. After the PS4 has launched, its titles will be available too.
http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/125059-get-your-ps4-games-from-amazon-and-have-them-delivered-straight-to-your-console Sony just keeps getting better.
Well this is gunna get awesome.
I'm surprised they haven't done stuff like this sooner.
I'm surprised they haven't done stuff like this sooner.
They'll earn more money if sold through their own store, but they'll probably sell much more copies this way to make up for that, especially if they start to bring this system over to others as well.
Hopefully the prices on PSN will be more competitive now, I am now paying £60 for a download of black flag on PS3
Amazon also just started a buy 2 get 1 free promotion for PS4 games. Use coupon code GR8TNESS at checkout. I picked up Knack, Battlefield 4 and Killzone for $120. Deal lasts for a little less than four hours from time of posting, so get in fast.
or you can just buy it from the playstation store. It's kind of pointless but it's nice.
or you can just buy it from the playstation store. It's kind of pointless but it's nice.
They always charge more on the PlayStation store due to the greedy developers and convenience. Doing it this way will stop all of that.

When I read the title, I pictured the delivery guy coming into my house and literally putting the disc into the console.
So it's like buying keys and activating them on steam?
So it's like buying keys and activating them on steam?
Yeah but it has a Playstation Gateway, so you'd probably sign in to your sony account at checkout, and it'll download to your PS4 (hopefully through standby downloading).
So it's like buying keys and activating them on steam?
You probably don't even need to activate it with a key, if you're logged in with your PSN account and linked to amazon, it will just send it instantly to PS4 and start downloading in the background. that is pretty wickid, imo
That's neat considering my card has literally never worked on the PSN store.
An Amazon rep will come to my house and put my disc in the console for me? Sweet!
Imagine.. PS4 being added to SteamPlay
