So how would we classify it? I mean, it's not like Microsoft developed it, they just bought the rights to it. As of right now, I'd say it's an indie game. It'll get confusing to me only after the first Microsoft-made update.
I hope the success of MC on PC shows Microsoft the value of the PC market.

Minecraft is the third best selling 360 game of all time behind Halo 3 and Kinect Adventures.
PS3 sales aren't as good, but it's still one of the few PS3 titles to ship at least a million copies, and it hasn't been out as long as the other versions.

I guess it depends on whether you consider the developer or the publisher to be what determines indie or not, and if microsoft hires a way larger dev team to clean up the mess
