• PC acting progressively more sluggish by the day

The PC that I have is only a month old, and as a result, all of the hard drives and the solid state drive are freshly formatted and Windows 7 is freshly installed. However, I've noticed as the days have gone by that my computer has been running progressively slower. Windows open more sluggishly, things take longer to load, some windows freeze for prolonged periods of time occasionally. I have scanned my computer for viruses using Malwarebytes and Windows Security Essentials, and they both detected nothing. I am, however, using almost 5 GB ram while idle. I used to use about 1.8 GB while idle. I checked all of the processes running, and all of the same processes are running as ever, so I'm not quite sure how so much memory is being used, and I'm not sure why my computer's preformance is decreased. Can anybody help?
Since you're using Malwarebytes and Windows Security Essentials, one might assume that you don't have any worthwhile antivirus software. I recommend you get yourself a copy of Kaspersky or another powerful security suite. Once you can rule out an infection, then this will be worth looking into further.
Do your scanners also scan for spyware? If not, get a scanner that does or a spyware scanner like Ad-Aware.
I guess that you might have an infection that needs cleaning out with some good antivirus and anti spyware software.
uhhhhh since when are malwarebytes and MSE bad?

When does it start to slow down, because what that picture tells me is that there is no more then 18% of RAM in use. Does it automatically slowdown after being on for a while?
It's slow right now. 18% isn't a lot when I have 16gb ram, but it's still 3.5 gb as of right now
It doesn't look like it's a process, at least it doesn't show on the screenshot. When did this start as far as you know, after installing something or did it just happen.
