I have a http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?S=1248&ID=1480 this case it comes with liquid cooling (already bought it so don't tell me I got riped). I right now have one 24 inch moniter and would like it to be able to have 2 more attached to it. I will playing games on it, programing and doing shit in blender and rendering da shit. Going to buy in the next week. Gimme suggestions, this will be my first computer build I have no idea what I'm doing. P.S. I was looking at those Bamboo pads are they worth getting?
I wish I had $2000 for a build :frown:
I won 10k in a science contest so I figured what the hell building a computer sounds like fun and I need a new one.
I won 10k in a science contest so I figured what the hell building a computer sounds like fun and I need a new one.
Do you even NEED a 2000 dollar build? I'm willing to bet a $1000-1400 build will suffice.

But this'll cover what you want, price is something different. Do you need mouse, keyboard and such?
that ssd is horrible http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233089

Also, my contribution to this thread: Get a 5850/5870, and a hexacore AMD *1090t*, and 4 gigs of DDR3 1600 mhz RAM, and for mobo, I recommend anything with an 890gx/fx northbridge.

Yes I do need to spend 2k. I do not require a mouse nor keyboard, but I do need 2 more monitors. Speaking of which does the graphics card you recommended support the use of 3 monitors?

5970 will rape everything you throw at it. [editline]11:24PM[/editline] and then rape you. [editline]11:24PM[/editline] and your family
2 GB 5870 or 5970
Definitely the 5970 at that kind of budget. Anything else would be a waste

the 5830 in crossfire isnt that fast, in this its scores are barley higher than a single 5870 on most of the games they test. also for eyefinity you will need either 1 monitor with a displayport or a active adapter (dell and sapphire do them, avoid apples its passive), you wont really need the hdmi cable unless you were going to use 1 dp 1 dvi 1 hdmi
Throw a SSD in there as a boot drive.. I know you might spend like a 100$ more, but with 2000? You don't wanna wait on boot-up.. (As in I wouldn't) Get a 32gb.

Get 2 5850 and OC them it will out perform 2 5870's for less money

http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=17468 tbh i hadnt really considered dp>vga but at $23 it does seem a much cheaper solution if you dont have a dp monitor

To above: This monitor is a better deal: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236082 He can get two of the, or just take one and spend the remaining money on a nice set of speakers.
