probably not
Should be able to run source games just fine, and if you lag with them you can turn it down to DX8.1.
Killing Floor, Sim City 4, Alien Swarm, Source games
You can play any game you want, alot of them not in the highest though. The topic is a bit stupid though, next time I reccomend you asking for hardware reccomendations: If your looking for proper gaming then I reccomend at least 4gb of ram and a multi-core proccesor with a graphics card that can support DX11 (Also you would need to update to W7). My current card that I got for christmas is a ATI Readon HD 6850 and I have to say I reccomend it to anyone because it's just amazing at everything, much better then the 4xxx series (Of course though). Best thing about this card is that is also has CPU relief which takes some of the heat off the CPU for you so the CPU isn't always having to calculate things like AI in the game (Best works in games like Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 where it has a calculate and spawn millions of zombies unless you have a good enough CPU to handle all that itself though) I would also reccomend a proccesor with a 3.20ghz chip at least if your looking for true speed. Just renember that the graphics card is the main point in games though, the proccesor and ram don't really matter as much (Although they do need to be a reasonable speed).
Quake 3
I've found that you can force many games to run if you just include their native DX level in the startup options. e.g. -dxlevel 90. I used this right up until the second fire.
Oh, also I've been playing Quake on my i7 desktop, but It's pretty on par with Crysis as far as fun goes. I'm pretty sure it will run on your computer since it's, you know, Quake.
jesus nothing because of the vista crap basically downgrade to xp and you are golden for those games
Get out. Vista is fine, especially after the service packs.
Overclock the CPU and put an extra gig of ram in there and you will be all good for most source games and perhaps Crysis on low.
Just let this thread die, it wasn't meant to be.
