Yeah, it was surprisingly awesome and definitely under-appreciated, but if you're going to be a games journalist, surely you should know these things.
generals was an amazing RTS game, Zero Hour made it even better. Any game that tries to improve on generals has my approval

I never understood why Act of War never gained any major popularity. The game itself looked and played great. The campaigns were extremely well designed and you even had some great movie cutscenes that were actually directed by professionals. It was just a solid and overall very enjoyable game.
But now upon writing this I realized that it might have been very generic though, pretty standard middle eastern/us plot and it lacked a bit of charm. Nevertheless it is quite underrated.

Probably because a lot of people can't run it these days
Generals Zero Hour is in my top 5 games of all time. I am cumming.
