So I just ordered the Intuos4 medium sized graphics tablet. Will get it in about 4 days. I'm getting really excited to try it out and hopefully it will be much more accurate then my insanely tiny bamboo fun tablet. So how pleased are you intuos4 owners with your tablets ? What do you think about it ?
I tried it out at a convention; however, they didn't have it configured very well so it felt kind of crap. It looked really cool though. I used to have an Inutos3, it broke so now i have a Bamboo pen. I'm sorry to say but other than the extra buttons (which are handy, but not necessary) I don't really feel the difference. :P
I gots me an inutos4 and I have to say, it's good if you are good with tablets. Its the best tablet ive used (apart from cintuiq) so yeah, id say its a good move

And how much did you pay for it?
And how much did you pay for it?
Well in the US the medium sized version costs 350$. But shipping it over to iceland would make it cost about 1100$. ( It's true ) So the cheapest way for me to go was to just get it from a icelandic computer shop for 900$. So yeah finishing answer: 900$ Oh and how does the tilt sensitivity work ? Like.. what does it do ?
I have an intuos3 9x12, they announced the intuos4 line about a week after mine shipped :saddowns: I love my tablet still, it's a blast to use. I have tried the 4, and have to say I love the multi-function "speed-ring" that can control brush size, zooming, scrolling, and causing awkward arousal without you realizing why. I have a Bamboo Fun small. I love my little darling. But this touchring looks nifty...
Holy fuck, that shipping cost. :aaa:
Holy fuck, that shipping cost. :aaa:
Yeah :(
Personally I'm not a fan of the ring, or at least the fact that it only comes with one, on my I3 I have 2 touch strips that I use as zoom in and brush up/down size. On the I4 it forces u to switch to different modes which annoys me cause I usually use both at the same time, and I don't like cycling through a couple of different options till i get to brush scale or zoom in/out etc.., plus the touch strip allows you to tap at the bottom or top of the strip and it u can change brush size by the pixel, not sure if tapping works on the ring.

It's an actual ring that rotates. But I can see how you're right. [editline]08:11PM[/editline] Fuck. Just found out that I will have to wait 2-3weeks until getting the tablet.
I heard that pen heads wear off very fast on intuos4
Lol, not only on Intuos then, I have my tablet in use for about...well a month and all my tips are worn off. I have to order new ones soon.
I heard that pen heads wear off very fast on intuos4
really? wow... good thing they come with a little bundle of nibs.
really? wow... good thing they come with a little bundle of nibs.
I've talked to a few professionals that like the new features of the Intuous4 but hate the tip life cycle and end up using their intuos3's.

Thats weird.. It seems like such a simple problem to fix. Just make it so that when you buy the intuos4 you get a bundle of nibs. It's not like they are expensive. Just small pieces of plastic.
