that's what happens.
I don't know what version I'm currently on, i think it's 8.12, how would I go about finding which one I'm currently using? This happens when i download the display driver and CCC separately also. if you guys need any more info then i'll happily provide it.
specs:
ati HD 4870 X2 2gb
4gb (2x2gb) ram
asus p6t6 ws revolution mobo
vista ultimate x64
all help appreciated. :3
have you tried running it again?
when i installed it, it didnt work the first time, but then i reloaded the program and it worked.
I've been trying since it came out, i've tried running as administrator, trying without and with folding@home, nothing works.
Anyone?
Uninstall the drivers first.
I would uninstall them first, but what would happen if I uninstall them, and then I still have this problem?
Try 9.7. It's been out for a week now.
Same problem.
Uninstall the old drivers.
alright I'll try it.

Sorry for the bump, but i would really like to get this solved. anyone have any more advice?
Get Driver Sweeper, delete existing video drivers. Get CCC 9.9.
8th: THIS PART IS VERY VITAL!!! Do NOT run the setup.exe in the C:\ATI\SUPPORT\ATI88 folder. INSTEAD Open Command Prompt, CMD.
9th: Change directory to C:\ATI\SUPPORT\ATI88\BIN:
cd c:\ATI\SUPPORT\ATI88\BIN
10th: Type to following command:
ATISetup.exe -install -output SCREEN
Any fresh users have any ideas? I'm still stuck on drivers from 8 months ago, and i'm contemplating reinstalling windows to get this fixed. I just want to know if anyone has any more ideas before i do this.
that solution 1 post up just got me back to 8.12
Have you tried installing the drivers in safe mode?
no i have not.
